Why did you choose to change Shanae to Victoria as the face claim for Teen Idle?

Almost everytime I tried to make a cover for Teen Idle with Shenae as Riley, it took forever to find a decent picture, and it took forever to make it work because I think she's only done one or two photoshoots. And with Victoria, I loved her with Colton in her music video for Gold, and I felt like she fit Riley's personality (not to mention, I loved her as Lindy in Eye Candy). When I went to repost it, I thought, "hey, I have the chance to change the face claim, so why not?" And I honestly can't imagine Riley as anyone other than Victoria Justice nowadays.

What do you think is your strength and weakness is in writing?

I think that my strength is definitely analogies, and having paragraphs which are basically just monologues. I always get hard on myself about things like describing, but I think my main weakness is adding detail to a scene that has a lot of speaking. It's really difficult for me to add things so the paragraphs aren't just 'she said', 'he replied', etc.

How long does it take you to write a chapter?

It usually takes four/five hours or more, simply because I try my best to make them long, and Teen Wolf is hard to write to (not to mention I've got the attention span of a newborn baby). It also usually takes me a while to actually get the inspiration to begin a chapter, so unless I set myself a target for when I want to finish the story, updates usually take a while. But, having said that, once I have the inspiration, I can get a chapter out soon (however the time period it takes to write a chapter can vary).

Why did you choose to let Riley McCall fall in love with the notorious Jackson Whittemore?

About a week before I posted Teen Idle, I kind of just thought "hey, wouldn't it be cool if someone had a crush on Jackson in the same way Stiles does on Lydia?" And I've always loved Jackson as a character, and there's never been many fanfics for him, so I thought that I should post the idea I've got, since I'm really happy with it and how there's a lot of ways the plot can grow (which is still the case, in my opinion). Plus, I felt like Riley and Jackson both grew over the first two seasons (even if one changed before the other), and Riley's character after season two would be positively changed, thanks to the events with the kanima and Jackson.

Will 'Heavy Crown' be the last of Riley McCall or will there be another sequel?

Definitely not. Season three already has a title, cover, summary, and playlist, and the only thing left to do is finish season two. I'm really excited for Riley in season three -- especially since I finally get to begin on her new love interest, which is something I've been mentioning for a while now -- and her character in season three (and onwards) really shows how much she's changed since season one.

What is your favorite BROTP and OTP that you've created so far?

For BROTP, it's got to be Riley and Scott. I have to admit, throughout most of Teen Idle, they weren't the best and they definitely didn't get along, but they are siblings and they're always going to have each other, no matter what. Their 'differences' in season one have made them realise that it's pointless to fight, and (not spoiling anything) there's going to be a lot of times throughout the seasons that it's going to be the McCall twins helping the other and making sure they're okay. (And they're literally brother and sister, so they're like an ultimate brotp.) I would also say Lola and Allison (or Lola and Braeden), but since I haven't even posted the first chapter, I won't go into much detail about that.

As for OTP, it's probably Riley and Isaac (risaac). I've always planned for them to eventually become love interests, and I've been quite open about that plan ever since I started Heavy Crown. They've always cared for each other, even if it was just as friends for a long time. They're two sides of the same coin and I honestly love how much they care for the other, just like I love their relationship from the end of Heavy Crown and throughout the rest of the seasons (which I'm sure you'll enjoy).

thank you so much to lucy for having this interview with us! it was fantastic! xx
