Taehyung returned from the wardrobe, now dressed sharply for work, exuding a sense of calm confidence. He spotted Soobin crawling around on the fluffy mattress that he’d set up just for their little one’s freedom to move. With a smile, Taehyung knelt down in front of Soobin and spoke softly, "Bun, my bunny, my little buddy Dada has to go to the office. Will you miss Dada?"

Soobin, who had been gnawing on his tiny fingers, looked up at Taehyung with wide, curious eyes. Without a word, he pulled his fingers out of his mouth and reached up to cup Taehyung’s face with his chubby hands. Then, in the pure innocence only a child could have, Soobin leaned forward to “kiss” his Dada. But instead of actual kisses, it was mostly his baby drool making its way over Taehyung’s nose, chin, and cheeks. Taehyung laughed softly, clearly unfazed and only more in love with the little bundle in his arms.

He sat down on the mattress, gently placing Soobin in his lap. “Bubba,” he cooed, “Dada has to go to the office to earn lots of money, so he can buy his little Soobin all the things he needs new clothes, books, milk, diapers, and lots of yummy fruits. You want all that, right?”

Soobin blinked up at him, his big eyes shining, as if he truly understood every word. Then, much to Taehyung’s surprise and delight, Soobin nodded, clapping his tiny hands enthusiastically as if to say, Yes, Dada, go and make us proud!

Taehyung chuckled, a warm glow of pride filling him. He leaned down to give Soobin a gentle kiss on his forehead. “That’s my boy,” he murmured. “Take good care of Mumma while Dada’s at work, alright?”

As Taehyung rose to his feet, Soobin reached out one last time, his tiny hands grasping the air as if to hold onto Taehyung. Jungkook, who had been watching the entire exchange with a smile, stepped closer, hugging Soobin from behind and saying, “Dada will be back soon, Bun.”

With a final look and a soft smile toward his husband and son, Taehyung took a deep breath, feeling an overwhelming sense of love and purpose as he headed out of the room.

After breakfast, Jungkook carefully packed up Taehyung’s lunch and snacks, making sure to include all his favorites. He handed over Taehyung’s lunch box, and Taehyung smiled, accepting it with a warmth in his eyes that made Jungkook’s heart flutter.

But Jungkook didn’t stop there—he had thoughtfully prepared lunch boxes for Jin, Namjoon, and Mr. Kim as well. As he passed the boxes to each of them, they thanked him with genuine appreciation, touched by his caring gesture. Jin ruffled Jungkook’s hair, calling him the “sweetest in-law,” while Namjoon gave him a soft pat on the back, clearly grateful for the attention Jungkook paid to everyone in the family.

Finally, Taehyung turned to Jungkook with a gentle smile, pulling him close for a moment. He leaned down and placed a soft, lingering kiss on Jungkook’s forehead. “Thank you, Kookie,” he murmured. “You’re making it hard to leave for work, you know?” He said with a playful tone, making Jungkook blush lightly. With one last look at his husband and little family gathered around, Taehyung bid everyone goodbye and headed out to start his day, carrying not just his lunch but also the warmth of home with him.

As Taehyung drove toward the university, his thoughts drifted back to that fateful day. He was at the hospital pharmacy, lost in his own world, when he saw Jungkook holding a tiny bundle little Soobin in his arms, patiently waiting for his turn at the counter. Jungkook looked so gentle and caring, his eyes soft and full of love for the child in his arms. In that moment, Taehyung’s heart had skipped a beat, something that had never happened before. He knew then, even if he hadn’t admitted it out loud, that his feelings for Jungkook went far beyond mere respect.
