"The Caller"

Overview

Billy Lenz was a deranged serial-killer who managed to escape a mental asylum while his half-sister/daughter Agnes started killing the girls in the sorority house, which was once his old childhood home.

Lore

It all began at Christmas time. The year was 1974, and the Pi-Kappa-Sigma sorority house was throwing a yuletide party. But while the festivities were underway, the house received a telephone call from a regular pest. Referred to by "The Caller", the mystery caller would spew shrill gibberish, make animalistic squeals and grunts, and often threatened to perform sexual acts on the sorority sisters. But during his most recent call, one of the sisters took a stand and told him to stick his tongue into a wall socket. Both his simple choice of words and the calm tone of his response sent a chill down her spine.

"I'm going to kill you."

He hung up.

The Caller kept his word over the next few days, picking off each sister until only one remained. Managing to evade the Killer by locking herself in the basement, the sweet but naive girl mistook her vengeful boyfriend for the Killer, bludgeoning him to death mere seconds before the police arrived. Believing the Killer to be deceased, the police left the girl to rest in bed, unaware of the Caller hiding in the attic. Despite evading capture, he knew it was only a matter of time until they found him. As panic set in, an inky veil fell over the Killer's vision. And even as he woke in the mysterious woods, he continued to mumble nonsense in a hushed and raspy tone.

Obscene Caller

Upon starting the Trial, a Landline Telephone spawns in a random location in the Trial Grounds, and does so after each time it has been interacted with. The Caller can see the aura of the Landline Telephone, the survivors cannot see the aura of the Landline Telephone.

Every 60 seconds, the Landline Telephone will start ringing and while it is ringing The Caller gains the undetectable status effect.

Survivors who find the Landline Telephone by listening for where the ringing is louder have the ability to answer it. If a survivor answers the Landline Telephone, The Moaner loses the undetectable status effect but gains a one 1% speed boost token. In addition, the Survivor who answers the phone will gain the exposed status effect for 15 seconds.

The Moaner can answer the phone, which also causes him to lose the undetectable status effect. But he will gain two 1% speed boost tokens. And additionally all survivors will have the exposed status effect for 25 seconds.

Special Ability: One Caller Tracer

One Call Tracer will appear randomly in the trial grounds. Survivors can use the call tracer on the Landline Telephone. Doing so will result in the killer's aura being revealed to all survivors for 5 seconds. Additionally The Moaner will lose two speed boost tokens. The Call Tracer will disappear from the survivor's hand and reappear on a random part of the trial grounds after use.

The sounds you make are as dangerous as the blade you wield.

Tier I: The terror radius is reduced by 4 meters when carrying a survivor.

Tier II: The terror radius is reduced by 6 meters when carrying a survivor.

Tier III: The terror radius is reduced by 8 meters when carrying a survivor.
Survivors will be alerted to your presence only when you're close enough to hear them scream.

Hex: Unnerving Presence

"There's nothing up there. Now, do you want a Christmas cookie? You're my cookie, and I could gobble you up!"

These trials are just a game to you. At the start of the trial all totems are converted to her totems that would be dull. When a survivor is within 15/20/25 meters of a hex totem or within 10/15/20 meters from a dull totem they have their aura revealed. When all totems are cleansed the killer will suffer from the blindness status effect for the next 180/120/60 seconds and hindered for 30/20/10 seconds and no longer receive the effect of hex: hide and seek.

Hex: Unnerving Presence totems when cleansed turn to dull totems instead of breaking.

Scourge Hook: MacHenry's Demise

"These broads would hump the Leaning Tower of Pisa if they could get up there!"

Four random hooks in the trial have been replaced by scourge hooks, as well as the basement hooks. When a survivor is successfully sacrificed on one of these scourge hooks, the hook will not break nor will the survivor be taken by the entity. Instead the body will be left on the hook. No further survivors can be sacrificed on that hook, but if a survivor walks within 5 meters of the hook, they will scream and reveal their location for 3/4/5 seconds.

All bodies on hooks will be claimed by the entity at the end of the trial.
