🎃🎃🎃I KNOW I SAID "I couldn't make the Halloween special"... Well I did so be happy🎃🎃🎃
Y/N’s POV
I jolted awake, heart pounding and sweat cooling on my skin. I found myself in a shallow, shimmering pond under a dark sky. Despite being in the water, my clothes weren’t wet. Whatever this place was, it felt…off. I glanced around, the eerie silence settling on my shoulders like a weight. Shadows from the nearby castle loomed, just visible in the distance. This felt surreal, and I wasn’t sure whether to move or stay frozen in place.
Then I heard a low growl, deep and rumbling. I spun around, expecting to see Simon’s familiar face, but instead found myself face-to-face with Allister Gator. His form was even larger than I remembered, his muscles rippling beneath his scaly hide as he stepped forward, eyes locked onto me with a mischievous glint.
“Well, well,” he drawled, the corners of his mouth curving up in a smirk. “Looks like something good decided to wander my way… Laziness really does pay off.” He came closer, his gaze lingering, and I could feel a mix of nervousness and a strange sense of awe at his confidence and imposing figure. He was more buff than I’d thought, considering he was notorious for being so laid-back. Despite everything, my heart raced, but my thoughts flashed back to Simon. No one could replace him.
“Uh… does Simon know you’re here?” I asked, a little more bravely than I felt.
He shrugged, rolling his massive shoulders. “Simon and I… we go way back.” His expression softened for a moment, almost nostalgic. “Used to be more than just friends.”
The revelation hit me like a shockwave, but I bit my tongue, resisting the urge to ask more. I wasn’t sure I wanted to dig up those details just yet.
Allister let out a long sigh, sinking back into the pond and blowing steam from his nose in short bursts. “Just… tell Simon I’m sorry, alright?”
I gave him a nod, worry gnawing at me as I turned back towards the castle. The halls seemed darker, somehow, as I approached Simon’s room. When I entered, his piercing gaze met mine immediately. His eyes, usually warm and playful, now simmered with barely contained anger.
“So,” he said, his voice rough, every word dripping with frustration, “you ran into Allister, didn’t you, pretty?”
I nodded, taking a hesitant step forward and wrapping my arms around him. “He didn’t do anything, I swear. He just… he wanted me to tell you he’s sorry.”
A flicker of surprise crossed Simon’s face, his sharp features softening. “He… he still cares?” His voice caught, the anger fading to something more vulnerable. “What a lazy gator.” He let out a bitter laugh, though a few tears betrayed his attempt at keeping his composure. “Maybe he should come say it himself if he’s so sorry.”
Without another word, he pulled away and locked himself in his room. I heard the door click shut as he disappeared behind it.
As I stood there in the silence, I felt a presence behind me. I turned, half-expecting Allister’s smug grin, but instead, he looked almost… regretful.
“Allister,” I began, hesitating, “maybe you should tell me what happened.”
He sighed, scratching the back of his head. “Simon and I… we were close, real close. We met right when we were… made. But over time, things went south. I didn’t exactly change much—I’ve always been lazy, and Simon, well… he’s got this big, fiery personality.” He paused, eyes distant as if sifting through memories. “Things got heated. He wanted more than I could give him… so we called it off a few weeks ago.”
I could see the pain in his face, the conflict simmering under the surface. “Allister, Simon’s different now. He’s changed… I know he has, because I’m the one who’s seen it.” My voice came out stronger than I expected, and I offered him a reassuring smile. Allister huffed a little, the corner of his mouth twitching in a half-smile.
“You really care about him, huh?” He chuckled, shaking his head. “Guess I can’t argue with that.” He turned back to the castle, his gaze fixing on Simon’s door. “Alright. I guess I owe him an apology to his face, don’t I?”
I nodded, introducing myself properly. “I’m Y/N, by the way. Nice to meet you, Allister.” He gave me a smirk, and then knocked on Simon’s door.
“Simon,” he called, voice softer than I expected. “Please let me in. We need to talk.”
After a long pause, the door cracked open, and Allister slipped inside, leaving me alone in the hallway. I felt a tug of curiosity, wondering what they’d talk about. I shook my head, deciding to give them their privacy and made my way to Simon’s treasure room instead, needing a quiet place to clear my thoughts.
Inside, the room’s wonder hit me anew. Mountains of glittering treasures surrounded me: gold, jewels, and trinkets strewn across shelves. But what caught my attention was the collection of toys piled up like forgotten memories. There were plushies, Lego sets, nerf blasters, and even some Five Nights at Freddy’s figurines. It was strangely touching to see this softer side of Simon—a hidden part of him beneath the rough exterior he showed the world.
As I moved past some of the shelves, something else caught my eye. A dusty, slightly worn Grab Pack rested on a small table. I picked it up, feeling the weight of it in my hands. It looked old, probably broken, but the design was familiar from the Playtime Co. blueprints I’d studied. Smiling, I thought to myself that I could probably fix it. After all, I had enough engineering knowledge to be dangerous.
I tinkered with it a bit, adjusting some of the gears. This was going to be difficult...
