All four of us settled in our seats at the airport. Our mom had drove us here and given us a little talk about some things we needed to be careful about, her motherly side coming out. It was Amariah and I second time getting on a flight to Spain but the first time for Kenza and Nia. Their excitement was obvious as they both wore happy smiles on their faces, getting all giddy and happy even when they were brought warm towels.
It was actually cute and as the oldest it did warm her heart. Aurelia sat next to the window with her sister seated next to her, she was already knocked out. Yesterday, Amariah and Kenza got an email saying that they both have been invited to a brand trip where she will get to meet a bunch of other influencers and do fun things. She was allowed to bring a plus 1 and so that's what she did. Unfortunately, her best friend, Elrinã couldn't come.
The email said only one extra person and bringing another person wouldn't be the right thing to do. Although, Nia and Aurelia already suggested multiple times that they would swap places with her so that she could come as well while they both stay behind in London but elrinã refused. She didn't want her friends to swap out the opportunity to enjoy themselves judt because of her. Her guilt would eat her up even with their eagerness to give up their spot.

As soon as the girls landed they ordered an Uber and arrived at the hotel place where the brand trip will be hosted. A middle aged man guided the girls inside the hotel room, it was a fancy building that was modern looking, some gold accents and decor adding a pop of colour to the plain white walls.
"Apparently the whole Barcelona team is hereee" Nia said wiggling her brows.
"Really?" Aurelia questioned, confused as to why they were here. What did a soccer team have to do with this.
"Looks like someone didn't read the guest list" Amariah said shaking her head.
"Uhh.. I didn't even know there was a guest list to be honest." Aurelia said feeling her cheeks heat up slightly as it hit her that she would be seeing João again. She kind of missed him. Just a bit though, nothing too serious.
"Lia.. also, elrinã said she will be coming. I organised some stuff with the brand and it was possible to being her too" Amariah explained as she clicked her acrylics against the handle of the suitcase.
"That's so amazinggg ohmy gosh. I love you Mari, i know she will be so happy. She wanted to come so badd."
The girls entered into the hotel room and their eyes scanned over the spacious room, the interior of the room built so lovely. It was basic yet nice, the simplicity of the room made it look so beautiful.
"This room is so pretty" Kenza said going to stand on the balcony and leaning back on the rail like she was in a movie. All the girls laughed and Amariah snapped a picture of her enjoying herself in the moment.
"It's stunning" Nia added nodding her head. It truly was stunning.
"Lets take shotss guyssss" Nia said excitedly as she spotted a bottle of some alcohol in the clear cabinet. Kenza was quick to agree with her and grabbed the shot glasses from the cupboard.
"No guys, you already heard my mom. We just got here also, so i'm trying to stay sober, i will drink tomorrow"
Kenza shrugged her shoulders in understanding to her friends point. Nia poured the liquid into two shot glasses then tilted her head and looked at Aurelia waiting for her answer.
"No its okayy, I'll drink when Elrinã shows up" Aurelia liked drinking with Elrinã because both of them had the same alcohol tolerance and liked similar drinks. Nia and Kenza liked more stronger drinks whereas Aurelia wasn't so into those drinks.
She didn't like the feeling of being so tipsy and not knowing what happened in the morning. She felt like drinking less strong drinks, more fruity drinks helped her remember more of what happened that night compared to drinking strong drinks.
Which made sense because Nia and Kenza were always gone as soon as they reached their 4th drink.
"Suit yourself" Nia said and the two girls chugged their shot at the same time. The feeling of the strong liquid burning their throat as it flowed down to their stomach.

"So.. what's this trip for again guys. Like I know influencer stuff, but like what are we going to be doing." Aurelia asked scrolling on her phone.
"It's a bunch of fun things, like skincare things and-" before Amariah could even finish her sentence Aurelia smiled and spoke up.
"Okay that's all you need to tell me" Aurelia smiled and her sister laughed at her. She knew how fond and obsessed her sister was with skincare products. I mean she was studying cosmetics so it made so much sense. She had such a broad knowledge of this and it was the one thing that she could talk on about for hours from the dangers, benefits, reasons, characteristics of skincare products and what products are best for you and what are not suited for you and why.
She was well educated on this and she hoped to make her own skincare product one day. Her love for cosmetics began when she was younger. Her sister always had the most perfect, flawless clear skin as a child but Aurelia didn't. She grew up with acne and used many products but it didn't work properly for her. She tried many brands and it just left burns and rashes on her face. A few years after that she decided to speak to a professional and ask them what is good for her skin.
She went to a lab where she could customise her own product with different solutions to be mixed and made as a product specifically made for herself only.
Her love for cosmetics then grew as she hoped to be that person someday, working in a lab mixing different chemicals and or creating their own skincare products.
"I can't waittt" Aurelia smiled leaning back on the soft, squishy sofa and sighing in contentment.
