AURELIA POV

She had considered João's question and said she will get back at him layer. She didn't know why she said that, she was most likely going to say yes. She just said that so she didn't seem desperate and she didn't want to fall for him so quickly.

She's in denial.

He was supposed to be a crush that only lasted for a week. Why was she keep thinking about him, and his cute smile and his strong accent and everything about him.

Ugh

It was so annoying, the way he consumed her mind almost daily and the way he was so oblivious to the fact about how much of an effect he really had on her.

Elrinã had eventually came back from the bathroom and rubbed her hands down her dress, sitting down on the stool and taking a sip from the cocktail.

"Sorry I took so long, I hope you weren't too bored." Elrinã said mixing her drink with the straw.

"No, I wasn't actually." Aurelia said.

"Why's that? Did you come up with any more places where we should go?" She asked

"No, Felix asked me on a date." Aurelia said calmly.

"Cool." Elrinã said not really registering what her friend said.

"Wait. HE ASKED YOU ON A DATE?" Elrinã turned her whole body to her friend with widened eyes.

"Rina, your big mouth. Shut up" Aurelia said smacking her friends arm.

"Ow." She hissed dramatically

"Sorry.. he asked you on a date?!" She whisper-yelled, rubbing her hand over the part on her arm where her friend smacked her.

"Girl what did you say?" She asked waiting for her friends answer.

"I said I'll think about it and tell him later." She said waiting for some sort of answer from her.

"What do you mean you'll think about it? Lia, are you dumb or slow.. literally, I know damn well you like this boy, why would you think about it. Why didn't you just say yess. Now he is gonna think you don't want him."

"But I don't want him. He's just a friend I guess. I don't even like him, he's just being friendly." Aurelia shrugged her shoulders and her friend put her head in her hands, fighting the urge to not go ballistic and rip out her hair from her head.

"Aurelia." Elrinã used her full name, which she never ever used. She was going to really go insane. The boy wanted her and she didn't even notice it. It was in plain sight. He asked her on a date and claimed it as friendly. Who asks someone to go on a date in s friendly way.

"Listen to me when I tell you that he sees you in a different way."

"Rina we just met. It might not be that serious if he likes me that quickly." Aurelia said attempting to make a point.

"Girl my dad told my mom 'i love you' on their third date and they are locked in and in love with each other. That man is whipped for her. It doesn't matter the time. Love is timeless girl." Elrinã rolled her eyes playfully.

"Okayyy Ms lovergirl, I see you. Whose making your heart flutter?" She asked raising a brow.

"Nobody, forreal. I watched 'Titanic' on the plane ride here. I'm turning on Romeo mode here." Elrinã said clicking her fingers.

"Let me be Romeo. Romeo and Juliet liked each other but they had an age gap. You see, love is ageless" Elrinã pointed to her head like she did something and like she said something smart.

"Rina that's a horrible example." Aurelia shook her head.

"Yeah I know, I realised it sounded bad afterwards. It sounded better in my head to be honest." Elrinã turned back around facing the counter, finishing up her cocktail.

JOÃO POV

João's heart was beating quickly in his chest, he had asked Aurelia on a date, something he wanted to do but he didn't have the time to since she left so early. He really hopes she doesn't think that he is moving to fast. I mean it's not like they're even a thing, so how can they even move on fast. All he really wants is to get to know her better. He likes being around her, she gives good vibes and she is a total sweetheart.

Her response was quite vague. She said she would think about it and tell him later. It still gave him some hope and restored his confidence that she would say yes but he felt afraid because of the suspense that he would be left on. He felt like if she either said a solid 'yes' or 'no', he wouldn't be overthinking everything.

One of the reasons that he thinks she wants time to think is because of the comments on Instagram. People have managed to notice that they are meeting up and hanging out. He sometimes comments on her posts and a bunch of fans and people are commenting to be careful and warn them about him to her because of his relationship history.

He has always been good with girls and but always been a player. He used to play a lot of girls when he was alot younger and a few years back but he has mentioned to his fans online and to his friends that he changed and he wants a serious relationship, something firm and stable.

None of them believe him though, because he's never had a girlfriend in a longtime. The last time he had a girlfriend was two years ago and he cheated on her with her sister.

He knows what he did was wrong and has already apologised, he always feels bad everyday for what he has done, and takes accountability for his actions. The two are even on good terms despite the whole situation. He believes that over the years he has matured a lot and that he is a better person now.

He really hopes that Aurelia says yes because he doesn't think he can wait any longer. It feels like in any second now, his heart will pump out his chest.
