AURELIA POV

Today was the day Aurelia has been waiting for or dreading. I guess both for her. She was so excited yet so nervous, her and João would be going out on a date together later today. She has been on dates with men before but this date is just different.

She would be going out with someone she genuinely felt a proper connection with and not some random guy who wanted to get in her pants. He had mentioned to her that they would be going to a beach type of restaurant, which Aurelia loved.

Maybe it wasn't the best for her to compare João and her past dates but he was probably one of the first people's to do something different. Majority of the boys she went out with always wanted to go to a fancy restaurant, which she wouldn't deny that she loved but it just wasn't exciting anymore. It was quite basic and she personally feels that if you are going to a restaurant, it should be good to maintain a deep conversation.

Which is something those boys she went out with didn't even know how to do properly. Plus she loved the beach and the vibes of the beach. She couldn't swim, which is highly ironic because as long as the beach was involved she would definitely be going.

The date started at 6:00pm, it wasn't too late which she liked. Meaning they could still have time, to spend more time afterwards. Everything about the way he organised the date was just perfect, the location, the times, the vibes. It was wonderful.

Aurelia sat on her kitchen stool drawing up designs for her product, she was testing a bunch of ways of how the product would look like for her skincare product. She already had everything planned out but she needed to settle on a design, which she found some trouble deciding on one.

Elrinã walked into the kitchen, scrunching up her wet hair with a towel. "Heyy" Elrinã greeted standing behind her and looking at the design then going to the kitchen and grabbing a glass from the cabinet.

"I was catching up with Kenza now. It seems her and Raphina are doing pretty good."

"I'm happy for her, but you know Kenza. She can get any man she wants, she's too pretty and sweet."

"Real." Elrinã agreed pouring some juice in her glass then taking a sip.

"Here give some for me." Aurelia took the cup, drinking the juice not taking note of the flavour. She scrunched her face up when she tasted the orange liquid in her mouth.

"Girl, orange juice is wild. Apple juice is far better."

"Apple juice taste like bums" Elrinã said causing Aurelia to laugh.

They always had this argument and they both stuck to their sides.

"Lia. Also, I thought about what you said, about the you know.. the whole music thing and uni."

Aurelia looked up from her page now paying her full attention on her friend infront of her.

"You're right and I signed up for it."

"Rinaa oh my goodness, that's great I'm really proud of you." Aurelia stood up pulling he friend in a hug. It may seem a little bit childish or not that serious to alot of people but Aurelia knew how much it meant to her friend and how hard it was to just give up everything so easily and start fresh, especially since if she were to pursue her music career, success wasn't guaranteed.

"Thank you Lia, I just plan on finishing this year so I can get my 2nd level certificate, at least I'll have something if you know.. it doesn't work out."

"No, don't say that. It will work out for sure and if anything, I will be here to support you." Aurelia held her friends hand rubbing it gently reassuring her. Elrinã has really been with her through thick and thin and since they were little. It's obvious she would have to support her through her journey in doing what she is so good at and what she loves more so if she was even hesitant.

Elrinã smiled and let go of her hand.
"The sketch is looking good" she wiggled her eyebrows as she eyed the almsot complete sketch of the bottle she wants. She already has a vision of what she wants it to look like. She wants it in a cylindrical but slightly square shape and for it to be pink, white with a touch of beige.

"Thank you queen, I'm almost done but I don't wanna focus to much on this. I need to go get ready too."

"Ohh yess, what are you gonna wear."

"I don't know actually, I'm kinda nervous."

Elrinã gasped in suprise.
"Aurelia, nervous and doesn't know what to wear? Wow what a shocker, I am gobsmacked." She said with sarcasm dripping from her words.

She wasn't extremely shocked but it was still surprising since, Aurelia literally was never nervous for dates and always knew what she was wearing for what event and the way she would wear her hair. It was all planned in her head as soon as someone made plans with her.

Maybe it was weird, but she liked it. It made her more prepared for when the time came.

"Rina stop, you're not really helping. I'll check what to wear after I finish this labelling. Imagine I'm late just because I can't find something to wear, that would be so embarrassing."
Aurelia shook her head already thinking about how embarrassing that would be.

"I'll help you, don't worry. You're going to look so hot that João will be drooling and literal hearts will shoot out from his eyes."

"Okay girl, let's calm down." Aurelia said putting down her mechanical pencil giving her a side eye. Elrinã laughed and shook her head grabbing her friends wrist and guiding her to the room.

"Let's goooo" Elrinã said lazily dragging her and opening the cupboard doors filled with clothes, ready to pick something out for her friend. She was going to make sure she looked good. Or maybe not good, hot and sexy.

also, im so glad i didn't mention anything about a posting schedule because this chapter was supposed to be out long ago 👀
