Author's note: Part 39/??

The mood at breakfast the next morning was agitated. Nonsee toyed with his food instead of eating it, as he had no appetite. The meeting with his mother and grandmother Klin was nearing, and Non couldn't hide his nervousness.

"It will be alright." Pat's hand slipped in his, squeezing it gently.

"Don't worry, Non. Klin and Tawan may bark, but they won't bite." Grandmother Chor tried to assure him. She seemed so confident that Nonsee wanted to believe her.

"Why are you so sure, Grandma?"

"Because their kingdom is facing a rough time. They won't do anything to make you run off again."

Nonsee's eyes widened as he realized what he caused.

"The fair is in three days." He breathed out. Suddenly the anxiousness was back.

"Yeah. And that's what we use against them. You will help them if they promise to leave you alone." Warut patted his head lovingly. Nonsee nodded in understanding. The easiest way out of his mother's and grandmother's clutches was through what they loved the most: their company and vast gardens. Maybe this plan could work.
