Black watched his brother sleep from the small table by the window. The soup in the wooden bowl that his brother had prepared had nearly cooled, but he didn't mind. White was a skilled cook, yet Black didn't want him to focus on that. His younger brother shouldn't injure his delicate hands with boiling water, hot oil, or sharp knives. Instead, he was meant to use his fingers to play the piano and other instruments, compose poems, study the world, and eventually lead the country with him by his side. The death of their parents altered everything. Thawi the self-proclaimed regent changed that. Taking over their kingdom as soon as he arranged their deaths.
Black sighed as he continued eating. That fateful night, the luck was on their side and they managed to survive. The scare on his back and White's side was the only evidence left after the horror night. He finished the food and put it in the small basin. Black removed his clothes and crawled under the covers next to his brother, wearing only his underwear. White automatically snuggled to him, like a tiny kitten he was. The smile adorned his face before he slipped into the sleep. He needed a rest before tomorrow.
Who knows how the meeting will go...
