Rose glances across the Great Hall, despite her mind telling her to stop. She can't help it.
Scorpius had obviously put some kind of spell on her, because though she is able to avoid talking to him, she can't stop glancing at him.
"Rose? Are you listening to me?" Lily says, breaking through her thoughts.
"Hm?" Rose forces her attention to an annoyed Lily.
"What in the name of Godric are you looking at?! I keep talking to you, but then you look away." She frowns.
"Uh..."
"You have a crush, don't you? You always look so dreamy...who is it?"
Rose's cheeks flush. "N-no! No way! I'm sorry; I'm just distracted today."
"You mean every day!" She opens her mouth to say something, but nothing comes out.
"Well, who's the lucky guy?" Lily peeks over her shoulder, trying to figure out who her cousin was staring at.
Rose grabs her shoulder, turning her back around. "No one! I swear. Anyway, what were you talking about?"
As Lily rambles on about something (she isn't actually paying attention), Rose forces herself to stop looking over at Slytherin's table.
