"I'm not pregnant!" Emerson threw her hands up in excitement and relief.
"Thank goodness. Benji would have flipped." Easton said with a relieved sigh. He then paused. "It would have been Benji's, right?""Asshole." She muttered before laughing.
Easton chuckled as he laid his head on his pillow. "Not being pregnant is the best birthday gift you could ask for."
Today was the twins' birthday and they were grounded during it. They didn't seem too upset about it, though. Since they had each other they didn't need to do anything special. Being together made it special enough. Plus they got plenty of birthday wishes at school that day.
"Did you tell Benji?" I asked. I hadn't seen Benji since the day at the mall so I had no clue whether or not he knew.
My sister shook her head. "I wasn't going to tell him until I was sure."
Out of pure curiosity I asked, "Did he get you anything?"
"You're just full of questions, aren't you?" Emerson said dully even though that was only my second question. "He said he couldn't find anything in store so he would order online but I told him he didn't have to. I don't know if he still will."
I figured. "He can't find anything because he doesn't even look. He scans the entire store in ten seconds and then claims that there's nothing there."
"That sounds like him." Said Easton. "But why do you know that?"
"I'm just assuming."
"No you aren't." Emerson said up swiftly, her disapproval evident. "It sounds like you went somewhere with him."
"Of course not. Why would I do that?" I lied. Unfortunately for me they could normally tell when I was lying.
Easton seemed more annoyed than angry. "What is with you and doing the opposite of what we tell you?"
I gave up on trying to lie my way out of it. Now I was about to get a lecture for no real reason. "It's almost like you aren't the boss of me."
He pinched the bridge of his nose frustratedly. "He is not your friend, Elias."
They were acting as if I had asked him to come with me instead of the other way around. "He asked me to go with him. You two should talk to your friend and tell him to stop interacting with me if it's such a huge deal."
"What's he talking to you about?"
I shrugged. "Nothing important. He asks pointless questions and isn't really the best at making conversation."
"Why did you talk back?" Emerson was pissed and I couldn't tell if it was at me or at her boyfriend.
"This entire conversation is ridiculous." I muttered to myself. "I think you should focus on getting your boyfriend to respect your wishes instead of coming at me."
I then felt the vibration from my phone. I almost jumped up with joy when I saw that it was a text from Javi letting me know that he was here. I had texted him thirty minutes ago telling him that it was alright for him to come get him since he insisted that he did so. Macy had been home for a while and was at a point where as long as I did not bother her, she wouldn't bother me. Unless my siblings said something then it would be fine.
I hopped up and started to grab my things. You could practically see the positive energy radiating off of me. I was happy to run away from this conversation.
My sister was watching me intently. "Where are you going?"
"Anywhere that isn't here." I replied.
"You're leaving?" Easton scoffed. "And what do you plan to do if you get caught?"
