Sophie looked out the floor to ceiling windows that took over a whole wall of the hotel room they were in, a perfect view of the whole city with all its brightly coloured signs and buildings.

"This is insane" She whispered, taking it all in.

"I mean it is the best room in this place" Billy smirked, plopping himself down on the massive king size bed.

Sophie didn't want to even think about how much this room would have set him back but judging from the luxurious decor and fully stocked complementary mini bar, it had to have been a pretty penny.

"I told you that you didn't have to" Sophie said, feeling guilty "A normal room would have been great too"

"It's our wedding" He laughed "You think i'm gonna cheap out on that?"

Sophie rolled her eyes but felt her stomach flip at the use of the word 'wedding' as she still wasn't used to it in the slightest and it still didn't feel real.

"I just mean that I don't need all the fancy frills and bottled champagne" She replied, gesturing to the mini bar "I just need you"

Billy was taken by her insistence on something small and simple but this was a big moment for them, for him especially. In twenty four hours, they were going to be husband and wife and they'd be bound forever so he wanted to make sure they cemented the occasion with something nice and the receptionist on the phone assured him this was the best money could get in the hotel.

"There's a hot tub on the balcony" He smirked.

He noticed Sophie's eyes widen at the mention of both a hot tub and a balcony, much like he knew they would and Billy had already had many dirty thoughts revolving the private tub overlooking the city.

"Okay well I suppose a hot tub wouldn't be so terrible" She smiled.

Sophie kind of wished she didn't need to return to her normal life back in San Diego going to school and coaching, she was having so much fun just encasing herself in this little bubble of warmth surrounded by everything she loved. Obviously that wouldn't necessarily change by going back to California but she'd have responsibilities again instead of lazily lying around next to Billy by the fire all day or going on nice winter strolls around the park.

Christmas had been so nice. Her mother welcomed Billy in with open arms and for the first time in years, he'd felt like he'd experienced a proper Christmas as food filled the table and warm christmas movies played on the television. Sophie's mom had even filled a stocking for him by the fire and he almost teared up at the gesture. In return, he baked her some cinnamon cookies he'd taught himself how to make from the cookbook and she was thoroughly impressed, telling Sophie that she could take some notes on learning how to cook for herself as well.

"We could still just go for it tonight, you know" Billy smirked as she joined him on the huge bed.

"Eager much?" She teased.

"Obviously" He replied.

They had decided to have a sort of makeshift bachelor and bachelorette party this evening in their respective groups and hoped none of them would catch on, Sophie insisting to the girls that they needed some alone time away from the boys.

"It'll be fun" Sophie insisted "It's like a rite of passage"

"Fine" Billy agreed "But no strippers"

Sophie scrunched her nose up at the thought, the idea made her uncomfortable enough let alone actually going through with it.

"Trust me, the only guy I want to see half naked is you" She assured "....and maybe Rob Lowe"

Billy gave her a glare but she knew it was only playful. Sophie had found out that Billy got awfully jealous whenever she brought up her little Rob Lowe crush and she found it cute to see him get all huffy about it despite the fact she obviously liked him so much because of his resemblance to Billy.
