Sophie clutched her head as the hangover began to hit her hard and fast. Hoisting herself up, she grabbed the water on her bedside table and took a large swig in the hopes it would magically cure her.A wave of nausea passed through her as her eyes landed on the empty bottles of wine discarded on her bedroom floor and she tried to mentally count everything she had drank but gave up realising it didn't matter now and that the damage was already done.
Billy was still fast asleep beside her wearing only his boxers although they hadn't done anything more than make out, not that she didn't try but he had been unusually reserved in that department and insisted they keep it clean incase anyone came knocking which she would've understood if he hadn't whispered the exact opposite in her ear the night before.
She knew it was dangerous to have even let Billy stay over but he'd drank as much as she had so it wasn't safe for him to drive and the boys had already left at that point so she figured the best solution was to let him crash and she hoped she would be able to sneak him out without Robin noticing.
Swinging her legs out the bed, she wandered into her bathroom to wipe whatever makeup was still lingering on her face off and splash some cold water to try and wake herself up upon noticing it was almost lunchtime. Though she didn't have any obligations for the day, she didn't want to waste it all in bed especially when it was the one day she had where she didn't need to go to class or coach.
Billy looked so peaceful as he laid with his arm outstretched across the spot that she had just vacated and she just wanted to crawl inside and cosy up next to him but she knew that she had to wake him soon and get him out before-
"Oh my god, I have the worst hangover ever, I swear i'm never- what the fuck"
Sophie froze in place as Robin frantically looked between her and Billy, his clothes mostly off and Sophie in nothing but a cami top and underwear before letting out a long laugh while shaking her head.
"Are you kidding me?" She asked, directing her attention completely on Sophie.
Sophie ushered them outside before Billy woke up and it inevitably made things more awkward and she nervously tucked her hair behind her ear as she tried to work out what to say to ensure Robin wouldn't start freaking out.
"You slept with him?" Robin whispered harshly, gesturing back towards her bedroom.
"He just needed to crash, he couldn't drink and drive or-"
"Sophie I need you to not bullshit me right now" Robin replied "This is why you've been acting weird, isn't it? You're hooking up!"
Sophie let out an involuntary gulp and nodded her head, silently begging with her eyes for her to go easy and not make this into a big deal, not while she felt so rough anyway.
"I can't believe you're cheating on Brandon" Robin whispered, continuing to shake her head.
"There's a lot you don't know, Rob" Sophie replied.
"Well then please enlighten me!" Robin retorted "Because right now it looks like you're throwing away a good thing to hook up with your ex and you've been sneaking behind my back for god knows how long doing it!"
Sophie went to respond but instead, Billy appeared awkwardly by the door of her bedroom and immediately picked up on the tense atmosphere in the room. He had put his jeans back on and had his other belongings in his hand, obviously hearing their argument from the next room and dressing quickly.
"I should probably go" Billy stated, directing more of his attention to Sophie and understanding that her and Robin had to talk this out alone.
"Yeah I think that's a good idea" Robin responded, tone laced with attitude.
