After tossing and turning all night long, at last the morning sun began to rise. You rolled over and cracked open tired eyes, and jolted alert.

(I'm at his house. That's right. Oh, no, what if his parents see me and freak out?)

Worried, you shot a text to Trunks, as usual using a translator.

You: Am I supposed to be here?
Trunks: It's fine. I told mom.
You: I feel a bit...
Trunks: Get ready for school, and I'll walk you :)

You blushed but hopped from the king size bed, bright eyed at the prospect of seeing Trunks so soon. Still....

(There's my morning routine to do. I have to update TikTok soon, too.)

With a sigh, you performed the art of beautifying. After putting on the school uniform, you grabbed your backpack and slipped on Nike's.

*knock knock knock knock knock, knock knock*

You opened the door and let Trunks inside. He looked great as usual, every strand of blue hair in place, skin immaculate. His fresh cologne smelled wonderful as well.

"Good morning," you said in Japanese.

"Good morning, Yin." He smiled. "Are you ready for school?"

"School...um...Yes! Oh, but food?"

He chuckled at your attempt and gripped his hand around yours. "Yeah. Let's go eat."

You were led into the elevator and ended up on the second floor. Trunks tugged you forward, and said, "my mom wants to meet you."

"Mom?" Was the only word you recognized.

(Did he say maybe his mom is here? Or, does she want to see me? Of course.)

"Yes." You replied shyly.

The hallway forked left and broke into multiple different doors and even more hallways. It was like a maze. People wearing white coats walked up and down, greeting Trunks in passing. He pulled you past the hallways. There, at the end was a large and open area.

There was green grass on the floor. Trees, looking exotic, and many animals. An old man stood there feeding strange birds. He looked over at Trunks.

"Trunks! There's my boy. Hm? Who this?" He asked, looking at you curiously.

Trunks bowed. "Grandpa. This is Yin. She's my girlfriend."

"Oh! Girlfriend, you say? Well, what do a surprise! I'm happy to meet you, Yin. Any friend of Trunks is welcome here."

(I think he's saying nice to meet me? I hope so.)

You bowed. "Nice to meet you. I'm Yin."

"I see. A foreigner, eh my boy?" Grandpa asked Trunks.

Trunks nodded. "She's a model from America. There was a stalker issue so I made her stay here. Her mother is...passed, and her Dad is gone on some trip, I guess."

Grandpa nodded. "I see I see. Well, looks like you're a chip off the old block. That's where your grandma came from, you know. America."

Trunks rubbed the back of his head and said some more things. You tried to piece together the words but found it difficult.

(Oh, I have to study! I can't bear not understanding much longer!)

You couldn't help but pout a little.

Finally, Trunks led you to another hallway. It went down, down, and further down. You tried to keep pace with Trunks but stumbled forward, bumping his side.
