You waited for Trunks to come to the bedroom as he had yesterday and walk you to school, but the minutes crept by and he was nowhere in sight.

(What's taking him?)

With worry, you gave his cell phone a ring. Instead of ringing, however, it went straight to voicemail.

(That's odd. Maybe it's dead...ah, it's getting late. I'd better go to school.)

Awkwardly you walked down the quiet halls of Capsule alone. Being in that huge building without your boyfriend seemed strange, so you practically ran to the elevator and out the doors.

That's when you saw Trunks talking with Mai.

Mai had a grip on his arm, saying saying fiercely, and Trunks seemed very upset. He swat her arm off of him and turned, catching sight of you standing at the door of Capsule.

"Trunks," you greeted nervously, trying not to worry about the odd scene and his apparant frustration, "we're going to be late for school."

He strode to you. His normal, calm blue eyes were narrowed with clear anger. He was even clenching his fists. "Yin, why didn't you tell me Goten was here? Why did he have to help you with your clothes?"

Mai rushed over to him. "Trunks! Be careful! You'll scare her away. She's not used to how a saiyan is."

Trunks grit his teeth and answered Mai, "I don't need your help. I can handle this alone."

Mai seemed sad, her black eyes pinched. "I'm just trying to keep you from making a big mistake."

You stared at them with wide eyes. They were speaking Japanese, and the conversation was too difficult to keep track of.

(Goten said not to worry. I'm trying but...why is Mai looking sad? And why does Trunks seem so upset at me? Does it have something to do with her? Oh, I wished I knew...)

You reached for his hand with a nervous smile. "Trunks? Are you okay?"

"No, I'm not!" He shouted, "just what are you trying to pull! Tell me the truth, Yin!"

Mai whacked him in the back of the head with her messenger bag, sending him to the dirt. "That's enough. You're going to be late. And...I'm sure she has her reasons. That's where your problem is, Trunks, always blowing up like that. You should hear her side before making a big mistake."

"Fine." Trunks growled. He looked at you again, slowly turning away. "Let's get going."

Just what had happened to make your boyfriend so upset, you had no idea, but his odd mood had soured your morning.

As the two of you walked, you didn't have the courage to ask him anything, too lost in thought.

Trunks could barely pay attention in class. Mr. Sake was making a speech about something, but Trunks tuned him out over and over.

His eyes kept going to Yin, who had yet to tell her side of the story. She seemed to struggle, he noticed, with keeping up with the homework.

Trunks would help but he was no better off, as his sheet of paper was mostly doodles. Yin wasn't going to get out of telling him the entire truth, whether she liked it or not.

(Goten helped her get clothes on...all because she was hot?! Just what were they doing to get hot, anyway!?)

His energy kept raising without his knowledge, like a strange wind that whipped papers away. Yin's fluttered away, but she snagged it.

Trunks had to cool it.

It was lunch time. You walked beside Trunks to the cafeteria nervously, and among the crowd of people, Goten waved his hand.
