Somewhere in the mansion, you were sitting down and chatting with Dazai in his room talking about what modern Japan had become. The old historic buildings had completely changed into glossing tall towers that reflects the sunshine on its surface. As the buildings changed, so did the culture as well.
You explained, "Yeah, the culture definitely changed overtime, though it still has aspects of traditional parts but.."
Dazai smiling gently as he sips on his tea, "But..? Did something happen? Did the traditional ways died out perhaps?"
"No, no. Some old traditions are still there, it's just that the modern culture got way more comfortable in expressing themselves. Like for example, people can freely draw or write whatever they want or people can now freely dress as they please." You explained in to response to his question.
Dazai leans his chin on his hand and proceeded to put his tea down with joyfulness, "Oh! I see. Now everyone can freely do as they please in the future, huh. What kind of clothes do they dress up as in modern times? Also, what do they now write and draw?"
You rambled on and said, "People started to write and draw fantasy setting more as well as more down to earth concepts of just mundane life. Then there are those who dress up quite simplistic but it looks really pretty! Other times there are people who wear multiple clothing that look crazy, but it just fits you know? Sometimes they would openly cosplay outside in the public comfortably.."
Dazai was listening on to your passionate ramble, but something caught his ears when it slipped through.
Dazai curiously repeating on what you said, "Openly cosplay?"
You nod, "Yeah. It's pretty common now in the modern times."
"Mhmmm.. so what do they cosplay so openly as?" Dazai said with a grin.
You gave a thought to it, "Hmm.. well it depends on the person what they want to cosplay as.."
Dazai smiling gently, "Why not give some examples that comes to your head?"
"Oh... um.. hmm... let me think.." You mustered.
As you were thinking of some examples off the top of your head, Dazai sat there patiently grinning to himself.
You hesitantly said, "Well.. some of them for example... probably a piece of food? Like a piece of steak or potato."
Dazai wearing a surprised expression, "Oh..? A piece of food..?"
Dazai actually did not expect that response in mind about the cosplay aspect. He was expecting something else entirely.
You kept speaking on it, "Yeah, they literally dress up as mostly anything sometimes. Even as a table if they wanted to."
"Wow they are quite creative with those cosplays! Haha!" Dazai laughed.
You spoke with a giggle, "That's just how they want to do it, hehe! But otherwise they also dress up something else besides objects. Let's see... a bunny suit is pretty popular one."
Dazai smiles, "A bunny suit, you say? What is that one?"
You tried to explain it, "Well... it can be a full bunny body suit.. but people typically like to wear bunny ears and a fluffy tail with a suit on. That's what it is most of the time."
"Ooo, interesting. And this is the first thing that pops up in your head besides the whole piece of food cosplay thing?" Dazai questioned with a smile.
You said confused, "Yes...?"
"I see. Do you like bunny suit cosplays Toshiko-san?" Dazai grinned.
"Um... I am not sure... I've never done it myself. I just think that the bunny suit cosplays are nice." You embarrassingly said.
