Alina's POV
"Can I borrow your plane?" I asked.
It's been several weeks since that incident happened, and it's also been several weeks since I've been trying to avoid that lawyer for reasons I don't know—and don't want to know.
I accepted it not because I want her back or something, it is because I want to ease this heavy burden that I've been carrying for years.
Love does not fill her beautiful eyes, but rather regret, sadness, confusion, and a sense of guilt—but for what?
In the three years we've been together, Leticia has never really opened up to me; it's always just been me sharing. It's as if she's hiding something from me that she doesn't want me to know. When her warmth touch my flesh, is not the same as that night.
"Liefde? who are you talking to?" I heard a voice behind the line that I think is her wife. Kung iisipin wala sa isip ni Yanna ang magkaroon ng girlfriend or what pero nagkaasawa dahil way back on our highschool days she experienced her biggest heartbreak which lead her to not commit to anyone.
I think the name of her ex crush is Jamaica? I forgot something like Orquesa.
I glanced to my left when he spoke. It was Marcus, who had been waiting for me for a while, and he also volunteered to take me to the airport. And yes, I just decided to go to Iloilo, because, as Yanna said, the firm would still run fine even without us.
"Yes please," I muttered as I keep my eyes focused on the road.
Alam naman ng mga kaibigan ko na aalis ako ngayon and they want to take me to the airport pero hindi na ako pumayag dahil knowing Aelliana, baka sumama pa sa akin 'yon at segundahan pa ng grupo.
"We're here,"
Alam kong may gagawain ka pa after this." This habit of him still hasn't gone.
"Take care okay? Just call me if you need something I won't hesitate to follow you if anything happens to you there." I smiled and nodded my head as response. Nagsimula na akong maglakad papasok sa loob.
