It was a few weekss after Hoshino had encountered him. But nonetheless, the hot steaming winds carrying sand, blasted through the desert terrain, slowly, but surely, destroying any solid object on its path. A lone walker wandered, his pitch-black rifle slung on his left shoulder. His right arm seemed to be missing, and the cloak that he wore obscured his right shoulder and face. Some might've said that he looked like a dead man walking, but he wasn't a ordinary guy. As he walked through the desert, he began to think about all of the things he had done, good and bad.But in his darkened mind, the lines between good and evil were blurred into a mess, creating a dark mess of an mind. And as he took each step, black goo fell down onto the heating sand, sizzling slightly as the black sludge burned through the sand below. He couldn't help but wonder what he looked like now, but he had abandoned mirrors far in the past. His mind was still focused on one thing, and that was finding his senpai. The real one. That dead body wasn't his senpai. The Yume he knew was a survivalist. She wouldn't have died, pathetically.
He slowly disintegrated into black sand, as the winds carried it towards Abydos, and a great sandstorm followed the dark cloud. Today, was the day that this person, died.
A few kilometers away, the Abydos Students, combined with the might of problem solver 68, were fighting of the Gehenna attackers. Soon, the President of the disciplinary committee, Sorasaki Hina, arrived. And the battle soon came to an end, with Hina apologizing to Sensei and the Foreclosure taskforce. Although, the problem solvers were taken into custody for trespassing, and attacking the discipilnary committee's forces. Meanwhile, on top on one of the buildings, the lone walker steadied his rifle on the railing of the building, aiming for the one who had destroyed his life, according to that black disaster.
"Burn in hell."
A raspy, and cold voice, sounding like a bullet in the night sky, echoed off of the buildings as he fired. In that split second, where everyone was shocked, a pink-haired vice president of the Abydos student council calmly stepped in front of Sensei, holding a shield that he couldn't help but recognize. Moments before it hit the shield, the bullet evaporated into sand, harmlessly bouncing off the shield.
"Uhe. That.. was close."
Hoshino muttered as she turned around to face Sensei, lazily smiling again.
"Sensei, you really are a bullet magnet. You know that~?"The rest of the foreclosure taskforce was shocked at the speed of their leader, as she hadn't shown that speed before. But Nonomi just smiled, glad that Hoshino's old-self was still inside of her after all.
But they couldn't lower their guard, as a massive sandstorm blasted into the city, pinning the Gehenna students as well as the Abydos students. This was a storm of unforeseen magnitude, with sand blasting through the air like bullets. And, a voice began to echo through the sand, as if the entire desert was talking to them, face to face.
"Members of the.. Abydos high school, and the Gehennan discipinary committee, I am sorry for this.. small interruption."
The cold, and raspy voice sent deep fears into their hearts, although a angry catgirl spoke up, shouting."We don't care about who you are, you blasted animal! Were you the one who tried to hurt Sensei?! I'll kill-"
She shouted with her usual fury, but was swiftly cut off as something slammed into her, knocking her down. She was soon nowhere to be seen, and was pulled into the sandstorm, unconscious. An cold laugh followed suit, sending the rest of them into deep fear.
"Do not worry, for she will be safe and sound.. but, I cannot guarantee the safety of you lot, if you don't give up the one you call.. Sensei."
A cry of anger and frustration suddenly followed suit, as the sandstorm suddenly started to disappear.
"Argh! How-"
"Stay down, unless you wish to be obilterated."
When the sand cleared, Hina had pinned the lone walker into one of the building's walls, her barrel pinning his chest. Serika was found by Shiroko, who just nodded at the rest of her team. She was okay.
As more students began to aim their guns at him, the lone walker realized, that he needed to act fast. He disappeared into black sand, moments before Hina fired, creating a large hole in the wall. Soon, he was leaning on another building's wall, chuckling.
"You thought you could just hold me with that, hmm?"
He laughed again, but almost didn't dodge Hoshino's crazed shield throw. The shield imbedded itself onto the wall where the lone walker stood, moments before.Everyone looked towards Hoshino, who was panting heavily. She didn't look good, at all. And soon enough, her halo slowly darkened into an slightly red color, instead of its usual pink.
"Senpai..?"
Nonomi tried to approach her, but was just cast aside with a single blow from Hoshino's shotgun butt.Everyone gasped as Nonomi flew into a nearby wall, probably seriously injured. Even Sensei tried to approach her, but she just ran off, towards the lone walker.
"YOU, FILITHY DISGUSTING TRAITOR!"
She shouted as she shot at the lone walker, while he easily dodged her angered attacks. She ran closer to him, and with an overhead swing with her shotgun, tried to slam his head onto the ground. But the lone walker swiftly blocked the blow with his left hand, blocking her blow with his fingers. The rest of the crowd was shocked, and Hoshino was shocked even more. This gave time to the walker, time that she shouldn't have given to him. When she has composed herself, he easily punched her on the gut, almost bringing her down. Before he could land a finishing move, Hina stepped into the battle, firing her machinegun at him, and giving Hoshino time to compose herself. Then she growled with an low voice, almost impossible to hear, but rang clear on their heads.
"Run. This city might be destroyed in a matter of moments. Iori, protect Sensei and follow them into Abydos."
She then fired another blast into the lone walker, slamming him into a wall and almost bringing the entire building wall. Sensei tried to help the two girls, but Shiroko stood on his way, blocking him.
"Shiroko, what are you doing?! They need our help. They obviously can't win!"
Shiroko just calmly replied.
"I want to have the glory of taking that black thing down for trying to kill you, but your safety is the most important thing right now. Please, follow us while they buy us time.
And I trust Hoshino Senpai, although I don't understand why she had hit Nonomi that bad.."
Soon, more voices joined in, saying that Sensei's safety was the most important thing right now. Although, the Gehennans were still trying to win the favor of Sensei.
But as a deafening crunch sounded as the walker stood up again, seemingly undamaged from Hina's blast, Sensei had no choice but to order a tactical retreat, vowing that he would never, ever run from an enemy again, while leaving two of his students.
And the lone walker began to chuckle, as he spoke.
"Ahaha, Sorasaki Hina. You've grown stronger.
Let's see what you can do, old friend."
