012. Big House

"A sleep over?!"

"Yep!"

Winter doesn't know how to feel about the idea. On one hand, being able to show Tails around his home would be a dream come true, on the other hand he was worried about him discovering his weapons stash... And his training room... And his work computer...... And his Tails otaku collection. To him though it didn't matter, as long as he locked the doors to the training room and the room with his work computer and made sure his weapons stash and crazy Tails fan stash wasn't discovered he was totally okay with the fox boy coming to his home.

"...Uh okay"

Tails eyes light up and he throws his fist in the air excitedly, forgetting for a second that Winter was holding him, "Wahoo!"

The wolf almost falls forward but manages to stop himself from doing so, "Whoaaaaa!"

"Oh sorry... I'm just so excited" Tails responds, the fox says, "I can't remember the last time I had one!"

Winter sets Tails down on the ground gently, "Are you sure you're not just doing this so you dont have to go to tge hideout?"

Tails shakes his head, "I swear, I just wanna spend a night with you"

The fox starts playing with his fingers when he thinks about having the opportunity to snuggle with the wolf on his couch, his blush slightly visible to Winter.

"We could watch a movie or two... Or you could show me some of your recipes... Heh heh" Tails says, avoiding eye contact.

Winter sighs, "I'm too tired to do a cooking lesson, so lets just watch a movie tonight, maybe we could do one in the morning"

"Okay!" Tails says, the fox jumps up and flies behind Winter landing on his back, "I want a piggy back ride!"

"Ah okay okay, fine" Winter says with a tired smile, holding him by the legs as the fox rests on his back.

Tails laughs playfully and rests his head on him as Winter picks up his bag and the two begin their way to the train station. On the way there Winter stops at a store to buy some chicken tenders so they had something to eat while they were at home and so the wolf didn't have to cook while being slightly in pain and exhausted from the events of today.

"So how was your day?" Winter asks, as Tails rests on his back.

"Well... I almost died, so all in all pretty eventful" Tails responds as he looks at the bright lights of the city.

"What!?" Winter shouts.

"Yeah, did you had about the explosion at the Musahino Docks? We were investigating something there and we fell into a trap, but this guy saved me and now I'm here" The fox explains.

"Who was it?" Winter asks, stopping at an intersection waiting for the light to change.

"This team of assassins, there's a green one, a light brown one, an orange and brown one and a white one. The white one is their leader and he's the most interesting of the four in my opinion" Tails explains, the fox thinks back on the hug he gave him and it puts a smile on his face.

Then the fox face palms, "Ohhhh that's why they're called The Four Seasons! Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter....... Winter.... Wait-"

The wolf starts sweating nervously, did he just get found out?

"-Nah, I've gotta be overthinking it" Tails says throwing his arms up.

Winter sighs quietly, then he notices the light changed and starts crossing the street, Tails humming a tune to himself as the wolf carries him to the subway station. The entire time, the fox's heartbeat is elevated, he's blushing.
