As the days passed, the tension in Hollow creek grew. The missing people still hadn't been found, and now the town was buzzing with the whispers of a new killer, someone had taken up where Sarah had left off. But this time, the killings were more frequent, more brutal. Whoever, or whatever was responsible wasn't just a copycat. It was something much more darker.
Lana found herself drawn back to the forest, the pull of the whispers stronger than ever. She stood at the edge of the woods, staring into the gloom. The trees seemed to move with the wind, whispering her name, beckoning her to come closer. She clenched her fists, fighting the urge to walk into the shadows.
She wouldn't be lured in again. Not this time.
That night, another phone call came.
This time the voice was clear.
''They're watching you Lana. The forest never forgets familiar faces.''
She didn't recognise the voice, but there was something familiar about it, a trace of something she couldn't quite place. The line went dead before she could respond, but the message was clear.
Lana wasn't just a bystander in this nightmare. She was the target.
