Kasey's POV
"What's your plan?" I asked starting to get a little scared.
"You know how Alex is like IN LOVE with you? And how you really like him?"
"Yeah..."
"Well I think that you should go out on a date with him and see of you like him. Then at school act all lovey dovey with him. Then Cori will be forced to see what he left behind." She said smiling.
I mean I really do like Alex, but I always thought that it would be weird for him to date a girl who has a kid. "Does he really want to be with a girl who has a kid though?"
"You know that when we all hang out together with Tori he is usually the one with her, holding her, feeding her, watching her. Why just because you guys are together would he stop? And he has loved you since before you had Tori, why don't you just go for it? Is it because you scared to get hurt again?"
I thought about it for a while, "Yeah, I guess. It had taken me so long to get over Cori, hell I don't even think I am fully over him yet. I just don't want to be put through that again and I don't want to put Tori through me going through a lot of guys."
"Alex is a really good guy Kasey, and he wouldn't hurt you. And Tori is too young to remember it anyway if you guys break up."
"Ok, I will ask him out. But when will I do it?"
"Actually your date is for tomorrow at like 2, I told him you wanted to get together, but you were too scared to ask him out. And your date is at the coffee shop by the way."
"But I am suppose to go out with Tori and Cori tomorrow."
"Let Cori take her to his house. And tell him that you are going out and will pick her up later."
"Seems to me like you have planned everything out my dear."
"Do you expect anything less?"
"Not really. Now help me find something to wear, trick." I said laughing at her hurt face.
"Now I'm not going to help you." She said crossing her arms.
"Ugh, stop being a drama queen and help me already!"
"Ok, ok, no need to get mean."
Saturday morning
"Mom me and Tori are going to the park!" I yelled out to the kitchen.
"Ok honey, drive safe." Then she came out of he kitchen, "Let me kiss my baby before you two leave." She said bending down giving Tori a peck on the cheek, "Bye, bye my darling."
"Jeez mom, feeling the love. Now that I have my own baby I'm no longer yours, huh?" Then I started toward the door muttering 'rude people these days'.
"I heard that! And I love you too!" She said laughing.
"Mhm."
15 minutes later
"Hey" I muttered.
"Good morning" he said with a smirk. "Is this her?" He said looking at Tori in her stroller.
"Yeah it is" I picked her up and held her so that she was looking at him. "Tori baby, this is your daddy. Do you want to hold her?" I asked him.
"Sure" he said with a big smile.
"Have you ever held a baby before?" I asked eyeing him up.
"Of course I have! I work at a daycare for crying out loud."
"Ok, ok, just asking no need to get hostile now." I said smirking. "How would you like having her for a couple of hours today? I totally understand if you already have plans."
"No plans here. Do you mind me asking why you are trusting me alone with her for a couple hours?"
"I'm, uh, going out on a date with Alex today. So I just needed someone to watch her. And I just thought that I could ask you since you haven't had any time with her. So can you do it or not?"
"If I say no will you not go on a date with him?"
"I actually have no real problem with taking her with me. I mean he loves being around her and she loves being with him."
"Oh, so he's hung out with you and Tori before?" He asked sounding a little jealous.
"Uh yeah, he's been like a dad to her. When we went out with the group he would take her off my hands and feed her, put her to sleep or just hold her. I guess that's why I agreed to go out with him. Because he is so good with Tori. He loves her and she likes him. It takes me 15 minutes of rocking her to put her to sleep and it takes him a third of the time. So it's safe to say that she really likes him." I said smiling. "So I thought that we could hang out together for a while then I would leave you guys to it."
"Do you like him?" He asked looking me in the eye.
"Yes"
Cori's POV
"Do you like him?" I asked looking her in the eye.
"Yes" I never thought that that one single word could cause me so much pain.
