Mistakes of the Heart

"Who the hell is this?"

"IT'S ALEX WHO THE FUCK ELSE WOULD IT BE?" He yelled into the phone once again.

Getting pissed off I hung up.

"Who was that babe?" Cori asked laying Tori down in her stroller so that she could take a nap.

"Alex, but he didn't seem like himself. I've know him for the longest and he has never yelled at me or cussed at me. But he just did both. So I just hung up on his bitch ass." I said, and towards the end I started to smile.

"That's my girl!" he said laughing, "But if he calls back hand me the phone. Maybe I can earn some brownie points from getting him off your back." He said cheesing hard.

"And who says I want him off my back? I might need a back-up man in case of you screwing up again mister." I said smirking, until I see a flicker of pain cross his eyes. "I'm sorry baby, I was just playing with you." I said kissing right next to his mouth,"Tell me you forgive me", I said through the the pecks I was giving him.

"Mm, baby... if you keep doing that we might give Tori a little brother or sister... and I sure as hell will have fun trying." He said gripping my waist.

"There will be no baby talk going on. I do not want to jinx it." I said getting off of him.

"Jinx what baby?" He said slightly upset.

"We just got back together Cori, why is it that your so ready to rush into things? Why can't we just focus on you, me and Tori for a while?"

"What would be so wrong about having another? This way I can watch you swell with my child growing inside of you. I missed out on that with Tori... we always talked about having so many children. What ever happened to that?"

"Cori... we are still in high school. You do not understand how hard it is to raise a child while still having to deal with tests, projects, and homework. You weren't here for that. And if you were you would understand where I am coming from right now."

"Well who's fault was it that I wasn't here for that? Huh?!" He said raising his voice.

"It sure as hell was not my fault...! Did I tell you to leave me behind with only a note? Did I? NO I DID NOT! So get the hell out of my face with that shit." I said walking away.

"You are not going to leave until we finish this conversation!" He yelled out to me.

"For all I know this conversation is over Cori, and for all I know me coming back here was a mistake too. Just bring Tori back to the house tonight please." I said starting to tear up. I start walk faster when I hear footsteps behind me.

"Baby, please... I lo-"

"Don't say it...please. We need time to figure out what we want because from where I am standing it seems as though we are on two different paths. Just have Tori home at a descent hour please. She usually goes to sleep around 6 so I would appreciate it if she gets home around that time. See you later Cori."
