~17 years later~

Lancer walked down the sidewalk looking at all the SpirtDay decorations that the people put out. Lancer looking at the full moon remembered all those years ago how he was told about his condition and how it all got better since then or sorta better. His parents when he got back home left with everyone leaving him with no one at the house. He was taken in by the elves and train in elf defense along with training with the elder guards.

When he was a young teen he then left the elves and became a police officer. He then several years back got a job here on the isle thanks to Travis and Marie. David also put in a good word for him after the whole accident running over two people (Not killing them thankfully). For all these years even though the elves cured him of the curse not all of it was gone so his bad luck was very bad. Although since coming to this isle it got worse then when he was on the main land and he blamed the magic that enshrouded this place even when you can't see it.

The amount of accidents that have occurred made Lancer less popular which in turn made him have little friends or relationships. Lancer thought back to some of the accidents that he caused without trying: like one time he was walking around the block and told an elderly guy to have a nice trip, although after Lancer said that the old man fell after he tripped over the curb. Then there was that other time he went golfing and his golf ball ended up flying off bouncing off a tree hitting the new judge in his crotch.

He incontrovertibly didn't win any favors from the judge that day or the next one, as a golf cart ran him over and plowed him into the water. Then another time involving the judge was with archery..although that time was not his fault but the judges because he was hitting on the instructors girlfriend which made him get an arrow in his butt. You can see where Lancer is going with this so many minor accidents that occur and because of that people started to realize he was bad luck.

So in short Lancer a very little friends which in fact could be counted down to about five people David, Grey, Travis, Marie and Jack's wife. He mostly spent time with either Grey or David but these days mostly it was Grey because David was busy on the main land. As Lancer snapped back to himself he felt a pair of eyes on him and his neck hairs stood up on end. He felt the gaze back behind him and Lancer slowly turned around to see a lady in white looking at him with a smile on her face. Her hair covered her eyes but you could still tell she was looking at Lancer, she then raised her left pointy finger and put it to her lips making a sound "Shhh!"

Then like someone erasing a messed up drawing she slowly started to dissipate before his very eyes. Lancer turned right back around and said to himself "Nope! Not dealing with that. I just going to pretend I didn't see anything just now." He then felt a sharp pain in his chest that he has been feeling for several days now except this one hurt the worst making him take several deep breaths after his pain went away. He then went back to admiring the decorations and the houses as well.

Lancer can't believe that this small town was now much, much larger since he was first hired here several years ago. The town now had ten times the number of buildings and housing it used to have along with people. He didn't know the exact number but he knew it was bigger then it was before. Tall buildings, more roads, stores, and that meant more police were needed. That is how he was originally Lancer was hired in the first place and he is surprised with all the accidents that have happened that he was not fired but it is whatever.

As he passed the houses that all looked a liked which were red brick, two story house with white trim and an attic at the top of the houses. Lancer heard they were going to use magic to turn the brick into wood that was sturdy like steel. As he passed by the park he saw a stage with many children crowed around with one teenager and two adults. Lancer then heard the shouting and even though he was off duty he still had a job to do sometimes. He sighed as he walked up to the stage to see who it was that was yelling, Lancer cursed underneath his breathe when he saw who it was.
