Can't Lisa make it more obvious. She was all over Jessie in the car and he didn't mind the attention.

" When were you going to tell me about that hotshot?.He's fiiiine" Lisa asked after we got to my locker

"He's one of my mum's...you know " I said showing little interest in the conversation

"How come he's living with you? Your mum isn't the one to settle down" Lisa asked clearly interested.

Me and Lisa have been friends since primary school and we know everything about each other.

"He needs a house to stay for the mean time" I said dryly

"So are they together or not"
"I honestly don't care"
"How is it like living with him? He's so hot"

Lisa asking this question brought back last night. I can't tell her. I don't have a reason not to but I can't.

I was saved from Lisa's questioning when the bell rang. We marched to our class.

They say went by slowly and I've been trying to avoid Lisa. She knows me too well. If she asked about Jessie again, I'll probably lie and she know something is wrong.

I looked for my History book when I felt someone behind me. It was Jake, my crush
"Hi ,Ally" he smiled revealing his perfect teeth " I was wondering if you wanted to be my date to the bonfire "

The bonfire. It's a beach party and I wasn't planning on going until Jake asked. I've liked him since forever.

"Sorry, Jake, I've a test tomorrow so no" I said already regretting it.

"Well, that's a shame. In case you change your mind call me " he left

I turned around and saw Lisa beaming with a smile

"What did he want?" she was waiting for my answer

" He asked me to the bonfire date" I said showing no interest
"And? Girl,tell me right now or I'll choke you to death"

" I said no because I've a maths test to study for "

"I'm not throwing my future away because of some guy "

"Some guy? Jake is one of the hottest boy at school anyways Frank will drop me home. We are back together '' she left before I could remind her what Frank put her through . He cheated on her several times.

I waited outside the school waiting for my mum but she didn't Pick up my calls all I received was a message saying Jessie will pick me up very soon

Why is she giving her responsibilities to Jessie? The guy only lives with us and I'm sure he pays part of the bill.

The black Nissan parked in front of me.He rolled down the windows and it was Jake.

"Do you need a ride home?" he asked
"No,thank you"

"Come on, it's getting dark and I will blame myself if something happened to you* he said not wanting no as an answer

I was too mad at my mum to argue so I got in.
Jake tired to have small talk with me and he wasn't really bad
