The Date

I got back home preparing for my date. Jessie was around even though he said he was going to be home late.
I wanted to call Lisa to help me pick up an outfit for the date but she wasn't around.

I heard my mum's voice downstairs so I decided to check. She was busy flirting with Jessie and he was enjoying the attention. This guy is a complete jerk.He kissed me, ignored me and now he's flirting with my mum. He's the reason I'm not talking to my best friend .

"Hi dear, I've missed you" she said.

"I've a date tonight"I said clearly not interested in her excuse

"That's good dear, remember to be safe. I need to change into something comfortable" she excused herself.

"A date sounds fun" Jessie said but I ignored him and went upstairs.
It was 7 and I heard nothing from Jake. I tried calling and texting but he wasn't replying.

I was outside my house waiting patiently for him when Jessie came.

"It's cold,get in" he said

"And who do you think you are" I said, having enough of his bullshit

I rubbed my hands together trying not to shiver when Jessie gave me his jacket. I mumbled a thank you and went inside the house

"I'll make you coffee" he said,I took a seat still checking to see if Jake texted me. Why would he ask me out and not reply,men are jerks.

My mum made her presence known.

"Jessie, can you make me a coffee will you are at it" she said looking at him with lust.

"Sure"

My mum turned to me"what happened to your little date?"she asked

"I think he has cold feet" I said still checking my phone. My mum grabbed my phone from me "Hey! " I shouted

" Haven't you learn anything from me? Don't chase men let them come to you" mum happily said thinking this piece of information changed my life

"Here" Jessie said handing us the coffee " I'll leave you two to have Ur mother - daughter time" he excused himself

My mum sip the coffee and I knew it was going to be a long night
