——

The coven entered the house, taking in the beautiful decor. Alice and Maeve were the last ones to enter. Their eyes meeting.

"it's not exactly the stuff of the nightmares" Jen said.
"The road changes for the coven." Agatha stated. Everyone aware of their new outfits.
Maeve and Alice were practically matching, except Maeve's shirt was a similar colour to Agatha's jacket.

"My amulet" Alice panicked, Maeve held out her hand, ready to calm her down. Until Alice found her amulet around her neck. Maeve turned to Agatha, who was panicking about hers. When she found it they were both relieved that it wasn't missing. Maeve however knew hers was around her wrist having that been the first thing she was looking for. Maeve's amulet was in the shape of the sun.

Everyone was wondering round the house, Agatha and Maeve hung back. Maeve noticed Agatha trying to find the doorknob, "Agatha. You can't leave once a trial has started."
"The trial hasn't started yet." Agatha hissed, walking past Maeve.
"You asked me to be here, atleast respect me." Maeve rolled her eyes. As Agatha walked back up to her.
"I don't trust you Maeve. How do I know you're not the one who created this."
"I guess you never will" Maeve teased, walking down to everyone, who were all gathered around the sofas.

"Check this out" teen called from the connected dining room.
"What is this. A wedding?" Agatha rushed to his side, grabbing the piece of paper off him.
"Let the kid breathe Agatha" Maeve joked.
Jen grabbed the paper off Agatha. "The witches road cordially invites you to the first trial." She spun the paper round. "It's a riddle, my age has value, I'm no fun alone,I mess with your mind,my tricks are well known" everyone sighed, obviously not getting the riddle.
Maeve rolled her eyes, she never understood riddles, she always avoided them.
Sharon took the card, "it's gorgeous cardstock. It's double sided too"
"What does it mean?" Teen asked
"It means that it's really expensive" Sharon exclaimed.
Everyone took turns reading the riddle.
"Sounds like a witch" Agatha added.
"Sounds like you" Jen said, looking at Agatha, this made Maeve chuckle.
"It does." Maeve explained when Agatha gave her a death stare.
"Wine!" Sharon shouted. Making everyone look at where she's looking.
In the table there was a bottle of wine with 7 glasses around it.
"That's it!" Alice said.
"Ten points for Mrs Hart" Maeve joked.
They all gathered round the wine. Sharon grabbed it.
"Wait wait. We don't know what's going to happen if we drink that" Alice quickly stopped her.
"Oh sure we do! Something terrible" Agatha added. "But if we don't follow these obvious breadcrumbs we can't move forward and we won't get to the big prize, so does anybody have a corkscrew?" Agatha asked, taking the wine back off the table.
"There's a built in bar" Billy exclaimed, walking over.
"I will help you" Maeve added, following the teen.

"Hey a bit of advice" Maeve started.
"Yeah?"
"Watch your back with Agatha."
"I know how people feel about her."
"Did you know she traded her own child for the book of Damned?" A voice from behind them asked. Making Maeve and Billy turn around.
"Jen." Maeve said, her eyebrows furrowed. "We both know that's not true"
"Do we? I mean no one knows what happened to him. It's just what people say." Jen added making Maeve push past her back to the group.

Maeve glanced at Agatha, her heart breaking a bit. Maeve was there when Agatha lost her son, and Agatha was there when Maeve lost her son.
Agatha noticed Maeve staring.
"What's wrong."
"Nothing" Maeve dismissed Agatha's attempt.
Soon Jen and Billy returned and they pored the wine between them all. Sharon taking the first sip, well she downed the whole glass.
Suddenly a timer started. Making everyone look between themselves.
"So to harbingers of doom?" Agatha joked, holding her glass up. Everyone hesitated but copied Agatha. Maeve keeping her glass down.
"To the prize" Lilia said, clinking everyone's glass together.
"Can I have some?" Teen asked.
"No!" Everyone shouted.
"You bet!" Agatha shouted, earning a look from everyone, however Sharon poured the rest of the wine in her glass.
Maeve looked down. As everyone started to make their way to the sofas.
Agatha glanced at Maeve, noticing her discomfort.
"You have to drink it. I'm sorry darling" she said walking behind Maeve, wrapping her arm around her waist. Maeve noticed this, leaning her head back.
"Agatha. Don't"
Agatha pulled away, joining the group.
Maeve followed behind her. Realising there was no seats left, she stood. Alice noticed, moving along a bit so there was enough room for her.
"Here." Alice stated. Making Maeve smile and sit down.
"Thank you" Maeve looked around. Seeing Agatha near the window.
"Hey." Teen whispered to Alice and Maeve. "What's your name? Sorry it's just I've only ever heard Agatha call you sweetheart or darling, so I never knew your real name" Maeve didn't reply, she was too busy staring at her wine, swirling it.
"Maeve." Alice replied noticing the shift in Maeve's behavior. She'd always been distant, but when someone spoke to her, she'd always answer.
"Maeve.." teen repeated, nodding.
Maeve suddenly stood up, making everyone look at her.
"You can't avoid the trial Agatha."
Everyone looked at Agatha who was just stood there suprised at Maeve's words.
"Like you haven't avoided drinking your wine too." Agatha argued. Making Maeve down her wine.
"Happy?"
Agatha huffed.
"What did she do?" Jen asked curious why Maeve was so confrontational.
"She poured her wine in the plant."
"I would never." Agatha stated. Making everyone look at her glass on the counter. "See" Agatha coughed.
The site of a full glass made Maeve and Agatha shocked.
Sharon started to rant about witches.
Agatha leaned against the back of the sofa, behind Maeve.
This made Maeve shuffle forward.
Lilia, obviously a bit drunk, started arguing about witches. Making everyone chuckle.
