Kenta stood at the edge of the skybound continent of Aetheria, gazing down at the world below. The time had come for him to venture out once more, to explore new lands and seek new challenges. His training in Aetheria had been rigorous, and he felt stronger than ever before. With a deep breath, he steeled himself for the journey ahead.
"I need to see what lies beyond," Kenta muttered to himself. He glanced back at the sprawling city he had grown to love, filled with its elegant sky bridges, floating islands, and the ethereal beauty of the sky elves who had taken him in. Among them was Lyra, the elf who had captured his heart. The thought of leaving her behind pained him, but his desire for exploration and growth pushed him forward.
Kenta took one last look at the city before leaping off the edge of the continent. The air rushed past him as he plummeted towards the ground, his senses heightened. He felt the exhilarating rush of freefall, the wind whipping around him, and the distant sound of the ocean waves far below.
As he neared the surface, Kenta braced himself for impact. With a powerful burst of mana, he slowed his descent, landing gracefully on the ground with a thunderous impact. The force of his landing sent shockwaves through the surrounding area, causing trees to sway and animals to scatter.
The sound of the explosion quickly drew the attention of nearby adventurers. A group of them, consisting of a mage, a warrior, and a rogue, rushed to the site of the impact. They arrived to find a massive crater with a single figure standing at its center.
The adventurers stared in awe at Kenta's imposing figure. His muscular frame, honed to perfection through years of training, radiated power. The air around him crackled with a palpable aura of mana, making it difficult for them to move closer.
"Who... who is that?" the rogue whispered, his voice trembling.
The mage, sensing the overwhelming presence of mana, took a step back. "He must be a demon lord or something. There's no way a human could possess such power."
As Kenta approached, the adventurers readied their weapons. The mage, in a desperate attempt to defend his comrades, launched a fireball towards Kenta. The spell collided with Kenta's chest but dissipated harmlessly, as if it were nothing more than a breeze.
Kenta paused, realizing that his presence had frightened them. "Oh, I'm sorry. What happened here? Why are you all not moving?" He scratched his head, genuinely perplexed.
The warrior, still shaking, managed to stammer, "Y-your aura... it's too strong. We can't move."
Kenta's eyes widened in realization. "Ooohh, sorry. I forgot to hide my mana presence." He focused for a moment, and the oppressive aura surrounding him diminished. The adventurers visibly relaxed, no longer feeling the crushing weight of his power.
The rogue, still wary, asked, "Who are you?"
Kenta smiled warmly. "My name is Kenta. I'm an adventurer, just like you. I'm traveling from Aetheria and heading to Eredor."
The mage, now more composed, replied, "Eredor? That's a long way from here. Why would you jump from the sky like that?"
Kenta chuckled. "I needed a fast way down. It seemed like the quickest route."
The adventurers exchanged bewildered glances. The warrior, still cautious, said, "Well, you certainly know how to make an entrance. We're heading to the nearest town. Would you like to join us?"
Kenta nodded appreciatively. "That sounds like a good idea. Lead the way."
As they made their way to the town, Kenta learned more about the adventurers. The warrior's name was Roderick, a seasoned fighter with a strong sense of duty. The mage, Alina, was a talented spellcaster with a passion for ancient magic. The rogue, Finn, was a nimble and quick-witted scout who excelled in reconnaissance.
