The next portal led us to the place I had visions of years ago. We stepped through, leaving the kingdom of Asgard after Odin made his pledge to me. As the light enveloped us, we could feel a rush of warmth and the scent of the Mediterranean Sea. When the light faded, we found ourselves standing amidst the ancient ruins of Delphi.

The aura of the place was thick with history, the remnants of temples and statues whispering tales of a bygone era. The ruins, perched on the slopes of Mount Parnassus, overlooked a vast expanse of Greece. The sun cast long shadows on the crumbling marble floors.

"Delphi.." I said as I suddenly remembered the visions I had when I was young.

"Did you see Delphi before in your visions?" Layla asked.

"I believe I have... I had a vision when I was 15 years old. But I so vividly remember it," I told them.

"What did you see?" Alex inquired.

"I remember waking up near the temple of Apollo. It was dark, and I could see the stars twinkling in the sky. It was a breathtaking sight, and I still remember how it made me feel when I found myself alone amidst these tall structures. Then I went inside the temple, and I saw a woman, wearing a crimson gown, walking inside the inner chambers of the temple and when I called her, she turned back, but I couldn't see her face properly because inside the temple a smoke suddenly appeared and I woke up gasping for air in my bed," I said as I tried to remember my dream.

"I know who that woman was... you probably had a vision of the Oracle of Delphi," Jordan said as his brow furrowed in deep thoughts of the famous series in the history book of ancient Greece.

"The Oracle?" I asked in confusion.

"A high priestess and famous seer that could reveal your fate. She was a revered person in ancient Greece, and people came from different regions of the world to know their fates from her," he elucidated further.

"So you believe we are here to meet the seer?" Layla said, looking at Jordan with a stern look on her face.

"It's possible," he responded.

"Alright then, we should go and see for ourselves whatever awaits us at the temple of Apollo," I said, and we moved to find the temple that was still not in sight while we crossed the remaining ancient structures on our way forward.

As they walked through the ruins, Layla broke the silence. "This place feels alive, like the past is still present somehow, even amongst the ruins."

Alex nodded. "It's said that the Oracle could see the threads of destiny, as I once read about her as well. Let's hope she has some answers for us."

As night descended upon the ancient ruins of Delphi, we decided to set up camp in a small clearing within the woods. The sky turned a deep indigo, stars twinkling like distant diamonds. We gathered wood and lit a fire, its warmth and light creating a cozy oasis in the surrounding darkness.

We sat near the fire as the temperatures dropped. It was after some time that we got some moments of quiet to sit together without having to fight gods or monsters.

I stared into the flames, lost in thought. The flickering light danced around, reflecting the myriad emotions swirling within me. The others settled around the fire, the crackling wood a comforting sound in the quiet night. Alex put his head on a stone and lay down facing the night sky that twinkled with celestial light. Jordan took out the liquor bottle from the leather bag and offered it to everyone.

"You want some?" he looked at me, holding the liquor bottle in his hands.

I took the bottle and sipped the old Single Malt Scotch, which I knew was Jordan's favorite from modern times.
