The café buzzed with the morning rush, sunlight streaming through the large windows, casting a warm glow over the rustic decor. Jimin darted between tables, his heart lighter than it had been in ages. Jungkook had helped him rearrange the seating last night, and his presence had infused the space with a new energy that Jimin couldn't shake off.

"Two lattes and a blueberry muffin!" Jimin called out to the barista as he wiped down a table. The scent of freshly brewed coffee wafted through the air, mingling with the laughter of regular customers. Everything felt right, and Jimin couldn't help but smile at the thought of Jungkook returning to his life.

"Hey, Jimin!" a familiar voice called from the entrance, and Jimin looked up to see his friend and neighbor, Minji, walking in with her usual bright smile. "Is that Jungkook I see in the corner?"

Jimin turned, his heart skipping a beat as he spotted Jungkook seated at a table with a few of his old friends, including Seokjin, who had come to support his new album launch. They were animatedly discussing plans, and Jungkook looked effortlessly charming, his laughter ringing through the café.

"Yeah, he's back," Jimin replied, trying to keep his tone casual. "We had a... talk last night."

Minji's eyebrows raised, her curiosity piqued. "A talk, huh? I take it you're giving him a second chance?"

"I guess so," Jimin said, feeling a mix of excitement and anxiety. "But it's complicated. I'm still not sure if I can trust him completely."

"Trust takes time," Minji reassured him, resting a hand on his arm. "But it looks like he's trying. You deserve happiness, Jimin. Don't forget that."

As Jimin chatted with Minji, he occasionally stole glances at Jungkook, who was now animatedly explaining something to his friends, gesturing with his hands. A sense of warmth spread through Jimin as he thought about the night they had shared, but he couldn't shake the lingering doubts.

Just then, the door swung open, and in walked a tall, striking woman with long dark hair and an air of confidence that commanded attention. Jimin's heart dropped as he recognized her—Soojin, Jungkook's ex-girlfriend, and a well-known model. She swept through the café, immediately catching Jungkook's eye.

"Jungkook!" she called out, a bright smile spreading across her face as she approached their table. The atmosphere shifted, tension prickling in the air as she reached him. "I heard you were back in town! It's been ages!"

Jimin's stomach twisted as he watched Jungkook's expression morph from surprise to something softer, nostalgic. "Soojin, hey! Yeah, it's been a while. What are you doing here?"

"I came to see some friends," she said, her eyes darting toward Jimin and Minji. "And I had to check out your new place. Heard it's thriving!"

Jimin forced a smile, his heart racing as Jungkook introduced her to his friends, the easy camaraderie sending waves of insecurity crashing over him. Minji watched Jimin closely, concern etched on her face.

"Can I join you?" Soojin asked, her voice light and inviting, as if she belonged there. Jimin's breath caught, and he could see the gears turning in Jungkook's mind.

"Uh, sure," Jungkook replied, glancing at Jimin as if searching for approval. Jimin nodded stiffly, trying to mask the swirling emotions that threatened to spill over.

As Soojin settled into the chair beside Jungkook, Jimin felt a knot of jealousy tighten in his chest. The way they laughed and reminisced about old times made Jimin feel like an outsider in his own café. He busied himself with an order, but his heart wasn't in it.

"Everything okay?" Minji asked, her voice low as she leaned in closer to Jimin. "You look like you just bit into a lemon."

Jimin let out a small sigh, glancing back at Jungkook, who was now deep in conversation with Soojin. "I thought I could handle this, but seeing them together... It's harder than I thought."
