The next day, Haseena, Ammi, and Karishma made their way to the station, where Ammi would be setting off to stay with Khala for a few days. Haseena stayed close to her mother, their recent conversation still lingering in her mind, filling her with a mix of gratitude and determination.
As they waited on the platform, an announcement came, saying the train would arrive in a few minutes. Ammi got up from her seat and walked over to Haseena, who was standing by her side, lost in thought.
Ammi hugged Haseena tightly and, in a soft whisper her, “Yaad rakhna beta jaldi se ye mission khatam karo aur apne logo ke saamne apne asli roop mein jeeo, She paused, her hand gently brushing Haseena’s hair, and added in a comforting tone, apna aur apne logon ka khayal rakhna. Meri dua hamesha tumhare saath hai.”
Haseena nodded, holding her mother tightly before letting go, her heart swelling with emotion, knowing her mother’s love and blessings would be her strength in the challenges ahead.
Ammi turned to Karishma, who asked, “Ammi, kyun itni jaldi wapas ja rahi hain? Kuch aur din ke liye ruk jati?”
Ammi replied, “Wahan Khala ko meri zaroorat hai, beta.” She paused, her voice dropping to a murmur as she added, “Mujhe bhi yahan rehne ki khwahish hai, lekin main yahan nahi ruk sakti.”
Sensing Ammi’s mixed emotions, Karishma gently reassured her, “Theek hai, Ammi. Apna dhyan rakhiyega, aur dawai time pe lena. Agar kuch bhi chahiye ho ya koi pareshan kar raha ho, toh humein phone kariyega, hum turant pahunch jayenge.”
Ammi chuckled softly, “Arey, kya tum bhool gayi kya ki main Lucknow ki Bhaukal Devi Karishma Singh ki Ammi hai, aur agar koi humne pareshan karne aaya, toh hum apna bhaukaal dikhayenge!”Both burst into laughter, the light moment easing the tension that had built up. They hugged each other tightly, cherishing the bond they shared.
After a brief moment, Ammi placed a hand on Karishma's head in blessing. “Beta, tum bhi apna khayal rakhna. Tumne bohot kuch saha hai. Tumhara maqsad bhi jaldi poora hoga, main dua karungi.” Her words were a gentle reminder of the strength and love they shared, fortifying Karishma as she faced the challenges .
Just then, the train’s whistle blew. With one last look, Ammi boarded, waving as the train pulled away from the platform. Haseena and Karishma stood side by side, watching Ammi depart, carrying her love and blessings with them as they turned to head back to their jeep. The warmth of Ammi's words lingered in the air, providing them both with strength as they prepared to face their own challenges ahead.
As the day turned into night, after a long duty shift, everyone except Cheetah returned to their respective homes.
At 10 PM, Haseena was at home, engrossed in her laptop, working diligently on mission related information and tasks. Suddenly, a noise caught her attention, indicating that someone had slipped into her house. Instinctively, she kept her laptop aside and followed the direction of the sound, grabbing a nearby vase to prepare for defense.
As she stepped cautiously toward the source of the sound, she caught sight of a tall figure around six feet, completely cloaked in black. A mask obscured his face, and he wore a black hoodie and jeans, moving stealthily as he slipped further into the room. But Haseena, an intelligent and well trained police officer, determined not to let him catch her off guard.
The intruder had entered through the balcony, but before he could advance any further, Haseena sprang into action. She swung the vase at him, striking him hard on the head. Stunned, he turned just as she prepared to deliver another blow. In an instant, he deflected the vase, knocking it from her grasp, and seized her wrist with one hand while grabbing her neck with the other.
“Kidhar hai hard disk?” he demanded in a cold tone, his grip tightening slightly as he searched her eyes for a hint of fear.
Haseena, however, was determined not to let this opportunity slip away to uncover the mastermind behind the attack. With her heart racing, she met his gaze defiantly. “Aapko kya lagta hai, main aapko bata dungi?” she retorted, her voice steady despite the adrenaline coursing through her veins.
The intruder’s eyes narrowed, irritation flickering across his face. “Don’t play games with me. I know you have it,” he said, tightening his grip around her neck. But Haseena remained resolute, her thoughts focused on the mission and the critical information she held.
In that tense moment, her mind raced, calculating her next move. She had to outsmart him and find a way to escape or turn the tables. Drawing on her training, she summoned all her courage and strength, refusing to give in to fear. She knew she needed to stay calm and think strategically if she was going to outmaneuver him.
Meanwhile,on the other side, Karishma in her room was lost in her thoughts, trying to figure out how to track down Haseena's killer.Suddenly, an unsettling feeling washed over her, like an omen warning her that something terrible was about to happen to her loved ones.Determined to quell her anxiety, she decided to check on Pushpa ji first. Karishma hurried to Pushpa ji's room and was relieved to find that she was safe and sound.
After confirming that Santu, Cheetah, and Billu were also doing well, but her uneasiness only deepened. When she dialed Urmila's number, however, there was no answer. She tried again and again, but still, the line went unanswered. The uneasiness only deepened with each ring, the silence amplifying her growing dread.
With her heart racing, she made a decision. She couldn't just sit back and wait for answers. Karishma grabbed her bike keys, feeling a surge of determination.
She needed to see Urmila to ensure that she was safe. With a quick glance back at the house, she hopped on her bike and sped off, the engine roaring as she raced toward Haseena's home, driven by an instinct that something was terribly wrong. The night air whipped past her, but the chill of uncertainty settled in her bones.
Every passing second , she felt the urgency grow the memories of Haseena's murder playing over and over in her mind, fueling her dread. Navigating the familiar streets, her thoughts spiraled through worst-case scenarios, amplifying her anxiety. What if something had happened again? What if she was too late again?
