Chapter 6

Andy and Angie stood at in the crowded metro, awaiting for the train.

"Our train should be here in a few minutes." Andy said, looking down into the dark tunnel.

"Why don't I just scream for help and call you a killer kidnapping me?!" Angie asked, sniffling.

Andy turned to her and said, "We won't get anywhere if you keep crying out at me like this."

Angie shoved Andy and said, "If you never existed I wouldn't be here at all!"

Andy sighed and nodded. "Angie? That's your name, right?"

"Yes," Angie nodded, beginning to calm down.

Andy rested his hands on her shoulder and said, "When this is all over, I will make it up to you. I promise you. I will fix this. However, I have to put you somewhere safe."

Angie slapped his hands off her. "How will you fix all of this, action hero?"

Andy turned away, and saw the train approaching. "Our ride is here. . .lets go."

Andy and Angie were standing on the metro train, holding onto the ceiling rails. People sat on the seats, staring down lifelessly. They all looked lifeless.

"Where are we going anyway?" Angie asked, looking away from Andy.

"My apartment. I can leave you off there and then I can deal with everything myself, somehow." Andy answered.

"Andy. . .is it true? You knew my mother? You. . .reborn?" Angie asked Andy, her voice sounding slightly surprised.

Andy nodded and said, "It's all true, Angie. Alexandra was a great friend of mine. Hard to believe she died. This must be hard for you to believe too but. . .the apartment has all the evidence we need."

Angie sniffled and said almost quietly, "She died giving birth to me. In fact. . .I was supposed to die, too. My father raised me, but he died five years ago. It's all such a miracle for me to even be alive. . .but now it's ruined."

Andy put his hand on her shoulder and promised, "I'll make it up to you. I just have to fix everything. First I get rid of the cops, then these crazy men. . .then my own personal things."

Angie turned her head at Andy's hand and asked, "Exactly what is going after you?"

Andy looked down and sighed, "Everything. The world feels like it's against me. Someone has to lose. . .and i'm going to make sure that isn't me."

The truth was, Andy had already given up all hope of living. He knew he would die somehow, and it would not be pleasant or peaceful.

Almost as if reading his mind, Angie said, "I can already tell you have no hope left. How about this? We both just split up after this. We stop at different metro stations, and live our life out from there. We can run away from this all."

Andy shook his head and replied, "There is no running away for me. You may have a chance, but I don't. Maybe i'll leave you off with our next stop. You just have to get as far as-"

An explosion erupted from the back of the train, rattling the front parts of the train. Andy and Angie fell to the ground, and everyone else around seemed to of gained life and started to panic. Andy looked behind him and saw a huge hole in the back of the train.

Max was standing infront of the hole, with two other men by his side. He smiled, and took out his golden revolver.

"Our mission is to kill Andy. Sent by God to do it ourself. If anyone stands in our way. . .we kill them."
