Chapter 10
Andy was driving through the dark streets. Street lights were off, forcing Andy to rely on the truck's headlights. He was heading to an exit out of the city.
"I have to take a final stand against them!" Andy groaned at himself.
Two black cars drove up beside Andy. It was obviously cars of the devil. By the black frame color of its exterior, and the hell red color of its interior.
The left car to Andy backed out of the window's sight, and entered into the same lane as Andy, just driving behind him.
Andy turned to the right car, only to see the barrels of several guns aiming at it. He ducked his head from the gunfire.
Glass shards sliced his hand up, already hurting him. Andy slammed the pedal down to the floor, boosting the truck forward. Andy raised up his head, and saw another car blocking his lane.
Andy took quick action, and switched to the right lane, dodging the parked car. He returned to the middle land, as it was the only lane that would directly lead to the exit.
Now, a car to the left was just beside Andy. They aimed out their guns, and opened fire to the left side of the truck. After emptying their clip, they would back off, then a car to the right side would get close and open fire. The pattern of gunfire continued for another ten minutes, before the sound of wings flapping grew closer.
Andy looked in the left side view mirror, which was now hanging crooked. A line of Angels was flying over the truck. One half flew to the left car, the other half to the right car. Andy swallowed down the fear. Adrenaline was pumping in his veins, the rush for action was coming. He looked down at the pistol still in his pocket, and then back at the road.
A shotgun blast on the left side sent an Angel five feet in the air, killing her. The other three were picking on the driver, the one wielding the shotgun.
To the right side, things were even worse. Only one Angel remained, his wings ruined and torn apart.
The remaining Angel on the right side was thrown off the car by a demon. The demon turned around, and saw several other demons riding horses with red fiery manes, getting closer to the cars.
Two demons hopped on the right car, and began to stomp on the windshield. The windshield eventually broke, the glass stabbing into the men. As they panicked, they lost control of the wheel, and crashed into a wall on the side.
Andy was now on the freeway. Five exits ahead was the exit out of the city. The car to the left was still chasing after the truck, even if the demons were attempting to stab them with their daggers.
Andy heard a loud horn of a car, and looked into the rear view mirror. Five cars of the same gang. Infront of the herd was Max, grinning towards Andy.
Andy looked back at the road, and saw he had passed three exits now.
Another row of Angels kept the herd at bay, giving Andy time to make it towards the exit. However, there was still the car to the left. A viscous car of hell, still lusting for blood. The driver remained only, but he had enough bullets to take down an army. He pulled his gun out of the passenger window, and aimed downwards. He shot the bullet, and popped one of Andy's tires.
The truck was out of control, almost making Andy slamming into a wall of the highway. He had just passed by another exit. "I'm almost there!" Andy cried out, gripping tightly onto the steering wheel.
Max blasted another Angel away, before he looked at the truck. It was driving shakily, practically wiggling in attempt to stay still.
The final exit was in sight.
