PAW Patrol: Chase in the Past

Chapter 14: Reunion and Realization

As the PAW Patrol are beginning to regain hope while Ryder and Rocky are close to finishing the device, the four pups in the past got up from their pile. It was cold outside, and it started sprinkling. They needed to find shelter fast! But they need to get Hazel.

Chase: Uggghhhh. Ohh, boy.

Dolly: You really need to work on your footing, Fluffy.

Fluffy: It's not my footing that was the problem. It was the weight of YOU guys on my back!

Patchy: So, we know Hazel is okay. But we need to give him a home.

Fluffy: Patchy's right! We forgot to promise Hazel a home, and he's probably mad at us for not keeping that promise! (runs)

Chase: Fluffy, wait!

Fluffy ran to the front door and stopped at the wooden entrance. He knocked genty, yet firmly.

Knock knock knock!

Inside, Hazel (who no longer has bandages) and Ewan heard that knock and looked to where they heard Keith's voice, sounding like he has misplaced that surprise for Hazel.

Keith: (in another room) Where is it? Ugh, I just bought it today. It should be in here.

Knock knock knock!

Ewan: Who could be at the door at this time of day?

Hazel: I don't know.

The young pup walked to the door as he smelt something familiar. Four somethings. Pups. Pups his breed. He jumped up to the doorknob, but he was so small he could only jump halfway to it. Then Keith, having found the surprise (which he put in a box) chuckled at the little pup trying to answer the door.

Keith: (chuckles) Hang on, little one. I'll get it.

Keith opened the door and Hazel stepped back so he wouldn't get hit by it. When the door opened, Keith, Ewan and Hazel saw the four German Shepherd pups in the shelter of their roof from the sprinkling water. Hazel was completely in disbelief and shock as he saw his four friends alive and well.

Keith: Whoa. Are these your friends, Hazel?

Fluffy: Hazel!!!

Hazel: Fluffy!!! Guys!!

The little pup ran to his four friends, and hugged Fluffy, and gripped onto him like a vice. The other three pups hugged him, and small tears fell, for the last time they saw him he fell off a bridge.

Ewan: I guess that answers that.

Keith: Oh, please come in, so you don't catch your death out there.

Patchy: No kidding!

Then the five pups went into the warm cabin where inside Chase saw pictures of Keith and Daniel! The same Daniel that he met shortly after he reunited with his father for the first time back in Family Found! As his siblings played with Ewan and Hazel, Keith noticed Chase frozen at the pictures. He walked over to him with a fatherly smile.

Keith: That's me, my older brother Harry, and his son Daniel. I call him Danny. Before Harry's crash.

Chase: I'm so sorry, Mister.

Keith: (chuckles) Please. Call me Keith.

Chase noticed the box in Keith's pocket. He knows a box like that anywhere. He remembers that kind of box when Ryder got him a collar and tag the day after he adopted him! He looked up to Keith and asked him a question that has an answer that will leave him in shock.
