As the paramedics take the injured people from that giant crash to the hospital (thank the Lord above nobody died) and the police try to find the license plate on that van which caused this crash, Chase and Dolly get into the streets and hid in case Butch and Ruben were nearby. Dolly couldn't handle everything that happened. Patchy being taken. Fluffy and Hazel falling. The crash on the road. Her tears were so real it's enough to make a puddle. Chase was concerned about Dolly, for the last time he saw her this sad, Victor was still evil, and it was when he took Jojo.

Chase: Dolly? Everything will be alright.

Dolly: (sniffles) Chase. (sniffles) Patchy's been taken. Fluffy's gone. So is Hazel. (bawling, a bit mad) HOW COULD EVERYTHING BE ALRIGHT?!?!?!?!

Chase was at a loss for words. His sister had a point. His brothers are gone, and Hazel, who was so young in the world, is never seen again. It all seems hopeless. The promise they made to Hazel never fulfilled, and if they DO get back, they'll be two pups less. Dolly was right. How could everything be alright? But the brave pup had faith like his father. So, deep down inside, he refuses to believe that everybody's gone and that all hope is lost.

Chase: Dolly. We're going to see our brothers AND Hazel again.

Dolly: (holding back tears) HOW, CHASE?!?!?! THEY COULD ALL BE DEAD FOR ALL WE KNOW!!!!

Chase: I have this feeling that Fluffy and Hazel are not gone. And Patchy could still be saved. Believe me when I say that ALL of us are going to go home. And I have faith Hazel WILL find a home.

Dolly: How can you say that?!

Chase: You need to have faith, Dolly. Like Dad had faith when I got taken by Vincent Slate.

Dolly: Which time?

Chase: Both times. NOW do you believe that everything's going to be okay?

Dolly was about to slap her brother in the face, but she realizes she's not like that, nor was she hopeless OR faithless. When she heard that part with her father, she almost saw Tristan in front of her, where Chase was. Then she wipes away her tears and gently nods her head.

Dolly: So . . . what do we do?

Chase: We split up. You're equally as agile and athletic as me, and I have the best nose out of ANY of us in the family. I look for Fluffy and Hazel while you go save Patchy.

Dolly: Why not YOU save Patchy in that forsaken lion's den. wherever it is, and I  find Fluffy and Hazel?

Chase: Look. It's MY fault Fluffy and Hazel are wherever they are. It was MY idea to make the van do that. So . . . if you want to blame anybody for what happened . . . blame me. And I see that lion's den across the street.

Then Dolly turns around to see the dog catchers' headquarters. And she could not believe what it looks like: the obedience school Chase was imprisoned in!

Dolly: 😨🤯Isn't that the--?!

Chase: Obedience school I was trapped in? Yes, it is. So, why I must find Fluffy and Hazel? 1. I have the nose that makes a tracking device look more like an Atari video game.

Dolly: Okay, that's true.

Chase: 2. Personally, I'd not want to go there again. Seeing what it looks like in this time just makes me not want to go there MORE. 3. You're obviously braver.

Dolly: Excellent points.

Chase: So, our plan?

Dolly: You go find Hazel and Fluffy while I save Patchy's sorry tail.
