Meanwhile, back at the Lookout in the present, the entire PAW Patrol team, and Chase's parents, were freaking out that Chase and his siblings are gone! Skye was being comforted by Coral for she missed Chase.

Coral: It's going to be okay, cuz.

Skye: (sniffles) I know. I just . . . I just miss Chase.

Coral: We all do. But Chase will be okay.

Rubble was pacing back and forth, not wanting food although he was hungry, frantic about Dolly. How she is, what she might have to face, where she is, how she and her brothers can get back. Rocky and Tundra were concerned for Rubble never turned a blind eye to food, even if he needs it.

Rocky: I'm worried, Tundra.

Tundra: Me too, Rocky. Rubble's always wanting food. Now he's just leaving it as it comes. Like as if he hates it. Man, he must REALLY miss Dolly.

Rocky: I know how that feels. When Sweetie and the other bad guys took you and the others away.

Tundra: I know. I thought you died, too.

Rocky: (sighs) I hope Chase and his siblings are okay. Rubble will not be himself if something turns south wherever they are. (Tundra nods in agreement)

Marshall was freaking out about his friends he considered his siblings, especially Chase, have been sucked through a portal. He feels shame for letting his clumsiness get the better of him, and now he thinks Chase is gone because of him.

Everest: Marshall? It's been two hours since Chase vanished. You haven't been yourself since then.

Marshall: I know, Ev! Because Chase was the brother I never had, and now he, and his siblings, are gone! Because of my clumsiness!! WHY DO I HAVE TO BE THE CLUMSY PUP?!?!

Everest: (hugs Marshall) Because that's what makes you unique, Marsh. You never intended for this to happen. Sure, I don't miss Chase as much as you do, because you miss him A WHOLE LOT, but I still miss him.

Marshall: (sobbing) Thanks, Everest. it's just . . . This is worse than when Vincent Slate took him away.

Everest: (somber) I know, Marshall. Everyone knows that it is.

Zuma and Liberty comforted the Junior Patrollers, telling them that what happened hours ago was not their fault. Those little guys never said a word since it happened. Ryder wrecked his room, desperately looking for an answer to their problem. He even, in rage and grief, flipped over his bed!!! He toppled his nightstand, threw his clock to a wall, threw some pillows here and there, demolished his dresser, and all the chaos shook the Lookout just a bit, all from the boy's grief.

Ryder: (yelling as he continues) GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY?!?!?!?!??! WHY CAN'T I FIND THE ONE THING TO GET MY BEST FRIEND BACK?!?!?!??! AAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (lifts bed and throws it at door)

Then the boy's rage left him. He walked to a wall, and slid down, softly crying in his now demolished room. But if you think Ryder or anybody else's grief was bad enough, take a look at Tristan and Sammy. Tristan could not stop thinking about his children. Sammy cried and bawled over them vanishing before her eyes. Tristan's tears have already made a puddle in the room he's in. He knows this is worse than when the bad guys attacked the Lookout. Or when they thought Chase died, saving Marshall. Or the time Vincent Slate took him, saving his friends. Or even when Slate's goons took him away the first time. This day is now at 2nd place in worst days of his life. But this could never top the one dark memory he had about his past. Anyway, Tristan was still in grief. Nobody was more grieving or sad about it than him. He remembered the looks on his pups' faces before they went into the portal. He almost saved them. But he failed.

Tristan: (sniffles) I couldn't save them. I'm a terrible father. It should have been me. (bawls) Why couldn't I save them?!?!?!?!

As Tristan puts his face in his paws, we go back to Ryder in his room where he noticed something that was where his bed used to be, before he threw it like as if he was Hercules. A small compartment that had a handle on it. He never knew this was here. It had a label that read--

ALIEN METAL - USE IN CASE OF EMERGENCY

Ryder: Alien metal?! This was in my room?!?! Hmm. (gasps) I got it! Sure, this is for emergency use. This is not of Earth, no matter what universe. And there is no guarantee that it would make our problems worse. But . . . this IS an emergency. And it Just. Might. Work!!! (breaths sharply) Worth a shot.

Then Ryder bent down and grabbed the handle, pulling it up, revealing an old, metal briefcase. Once he opened it, he saw that there was that alien metal inside. He thinks that this alien metal should help patch up the cracked device, for it cannot work with any fractures. This metalloid looks so alien he doesn't think anywhere on Earth could replicate it. He closed the briefcase and took it with him out of his room. As he walked by them, Tristan and Sammy saw that Ryder had a look of determination and confidence. One that nobody's seen in hours. So, they followed him. Then he came out of the Lookout, getting everyone's attention.

Ryder: (determined) Let's get our friends back.
