Counseling For a Friend pt. 1

As soon as the early morning hit, Shelly woke up in her toon room, somewhat confused on how she ended up in her room when she was with Vee. She quickly suppressed the thought out of her head and put on her usual wear. She walked out of her room and headed to the kitchen to see Toodles in the fridge looking for a slice of cheese. They both froze in place by shock, just looking at each other.

Toodle spoke quickly trying to not get in trouble, "Please don't tell my dad! I just was a bit hungry and wanted to prank Glisten by slapping a piece of cheese on his face!"

Shelly laughs and walks over to Toodles putting her hand on her shoulder putting on a sweet smile, "It's fine, I won't tell anyone Toodles. Go on and be a kid, okay, do it for me.."

Toodles looked happier and took all of the cheese she could find from the fridge to go run into Glisten's room. Shelly watched her scurry away and went to grab a glass of water to wake herself up to learn more dinosaur facts that she could maybe tell Vee. Before heading back to her room she heard a girlish scream, it was Glisten wasn't it she thought. She smiles and walks back into her room and sits on her bed. Shelly looks down on the blanket and sees the blood stain she left from two days ago. She sighs and looks at her bookshelf looking back over to her bookshelf. She thought about it, she read all of those books there and Vee was right, she always went to the library the toons have. Shelly sat there and thought about it before getting up and heading out of her room to go and read some books at the library. She felt that she was progressing on her journey to make herself feel better. She looked around for books until she spotted Finn. She waved at him and he made his way over to her.

"Hey Shelly! Do you want to know some facts about fish with me!" He spoke in a happy and cheerful tone, the same tone she used to speak in when she wanted to tell the other toons about dinosaurs.

Shelly picks out a book and nods, trying to feel as cheery as she did before, "Of course, but only if you want to hear some dinosaur facts!"

Finn smiled and nodded quickly, scurrying around the library trying to find a seat for both of them. Shelly followed him until they both found a table to sit down and read at. They both sit down and open their books. After a few pages in their books Finn speaks quite happily.

"Did you know that there are 30,000 species of fish in the sea and there are still more to be discovered! That's so cool!" Finn quietly squeals and laughs, "They're so catchy that I'm hooked, get it?"

"Right, that's pretty amusing, did you know that the first species of dinosaurs were small and medium sized meat-eaters! They were just so silly!" Shelly chuckled and looked back at her book.

They both kept talking about facts about the creature they loved when they heard the library door slam open. Walking in the library and without saying hello to Brightney, he searches around for both Finn and Shelly. After searching around what felt like hours but was only two minutes, he found them and immediately yelled.

"HEY! WHAT ARE YOU TWO DOING HERE!" Shrimpo yells and crosses his arms, with a big pout on his face.

"Reading.." Both Shelly and Finn answer at the same time, seeming a bit confused on his obvious question.

"WELL VEE WANTS TO SEE YOU AND FINN.. I HATE YOU JUST BECAUSE YOUR DUMB FISH JOKES SUCK!" Shrimpo yelled some more and stormed off, leaving the library. He never really liked the library whatsoever.

She excuses herself from the table, "Sorry Finn, I hope we can continue reading and telling facts to each other tomorrow or another day."

"Of course! See you!" Finn waved and continued to read his book about fish.
