Counseling for a Friend pt. 2

Once the morning hit, Shelly woke up and stayed in her bed this time. She thought about last night and her talk with Vee before reflecting on the words that she told her. Shelly sighed and tried to shake off the words' impact on her but it seemed impossible. She looked under her bed and at the knife she used, it had blood stains on them. Sitting up on her bed, she looked at her still bandaged wrists and started to take them off slowly. She hears a knock at her door and quickly wraps her wrist back up and falls out of her bed in a rush. She hits her head and winces in pain before getting up and throwing her slippers on. Shelly opens the door with a tear almost falling down her face, seeing Cosmo.

"Hey Shelly, I have a couple of questions to ask you. If you don't mind whatsoever." Cosmo said with a bit of a concerned and curious voice.

Shelly got a little idea from the question assumed that he wanted romantic advice, "You want to know how you can get closer to Sprout right-"

Cosmo interrupted her question before he could fully hear it, "Are you okay, you've been very... how do I say this in a nice way.. Oh, uh.. closed in.."

"Oh- I'm perfectly fine, just a dinosaur project I've been really focused on, nothing serious!" She put on a fake smile and fake cherry tone in her voice. Part of her wanted to tell Cosmo but another part of her wanted to keep it between her and Vee.

"Right, just checking in-! I made you some dinosaur cookies here-" Cosmo sort of got his karma and his request was interfering with Shelly's excited voice.

"Are they Stokesosaurus? I love them!" Shelly took the cookies and ran over to put them on her desk in her toon room.

Cosmo chuckled and looked away and spoke once more, "well there supposed to be velociraptors.."

Shelly looked down at the cookies and looked away, feeling bad from mistaking the dinosaur type cookie, "Right-! Sorry just a lot of dinosaur research! Thank you so much!"

Shelly ran over and gave Cosmo a hug before they separated from it and he left. She closed her door and sat back on her bed looking at the cookies, looking back at her wrists that were hurryingly put back on quickly. She sighed at the thought of her cutting herself and thought of the attention she got from Vee. It was the most concerned she has been for her. Before Vee shrugged off the thought of even thinking about her and she knew it. Shelly thought about it a little longer and thought if Vee even wanted her around for company or control. Without noticing and feeling a sharp pain on her wrist. She thought so hard she didn't know that she was unwrapping her wound and scratching her half healed wound. She panicked a bit and wrapped it back up, seeing a bit of blood leaking through the wrap. She ran out of her toon room and back to the bathroom and grabbed a med kit to clean it off again. Shelly rinsed her wrist under water and cleaned it off being far more rough than Vee was. She worsened the wound and it even started to sting all day. She ignored it and saw Finn and waved at him. He sort of ignored her and ran over to Shrimpo instead of her and started to talk to him. She shortly heard yelling right after Finn approached him. She sighed and felt her arm get tingly and loosened the wrap but it was still tight around her and went back to her room. Who cares if no one wanted to see her, I bet they wouldn't even care if she killed herself she thought. She sat at her desk and looked at the cookies, her thoughts dating back to when she and Cosmo were talking and noticed he barely hugged back and interrupted her a lot. She sat back further in her bed until she laid down again before pushing herself back more until she fell off of the bed head first. Vee was walking outside of Shelly's room to make it to the library and heard the thump, quickly opening the door to notice Shelly not on the right side of the bed but only the left side of it. She walked around the bed and saw her on the floor and sighed.
