Chapter 7: Surprise

Hey guys, as I promised, it is another chapter for the day, and don't worry, I'll try to update as soon as possible after this, and yeah, let's get to it!!

"Serena, I'll hold the bags," Bonnie said, while locking her car. "You open the door."

"Alright," I said, as I pulled out my keys from my pocket and unlocked the door.

"SURPRISE!!!!" Ash, Dawn, and Clemont yelled, as I looked at the room in shock. It was decorated in my favorite color, and the decorations matched everything I could have ever wished for. In the center, a beautifully decorated cake stood with a candle burning, and gifts were placed on the couch next to it. 

All I found myself doing was smiling as tears formed in my eyes. I had forgotten that it was my birthday after all the company drama and work I had just been through. I tried to say something, but the words were stuck in my throat, and it was choking me. Suddenly, I felt Bonnie envelope me in a great bear hug, Dawn soon to join.

"Happy Birthday, Serena." She said as she patted my back.

I hugged her back, "Thank you Bonnie, Dawn, and you guys too."

"Serena, do you guys want to go to the arcade? My treat, I'll pay don't worry." Ash said. "Plus, it's still only the afternoon, we can go for like 2 hours and then you girls can come back and do your skincare or whatever you guys do."

"Sounds like a plan, but that cake looks so good, we have to eat that first." I said. "Did you buy it?"

"We were going to buy it, but in the end, I decided that it would be better if I made the cake. Do you like it?" Dawn said, as she held my hand.

"Of course, I love it, lets do this!" I said, as we crowded next to the cake, and as they sung the birthday song for me, all I did was realize how lucky I was to have such caring people surrounding me. 

"Time to make a wish bestie," Dawn said, snapping me out of my thoughts. I smiled and stepped closer to the cake, wishing for a stable and amazing future for my friends and I, before I blew out the candles to a large applause. After we cut the cake and distributed it to everyone, they were begging for me to open their gifts.

Bonnie got me the matching pajamas for all three of us :

Ash got this bracelet for me, which I love, it is delicate and beautiful:

Clemont got me a makeup set cause he didn't know what to get, but it was a set I always wanted (ok guys no hate if i did smth wrong, because idk a thing about makeup):

Dawn got me a gold personalized necklace:

I loved all the gifts, and after we finished going through them and cleaning up the cake, Ash drove his car (which he kept in the garage no wonder Bonnie didn't want to park in there), the 5 of us went to the arcade, Ash and Clemont in the front seat and the three of us in the back laughing while scrolling our phones. 

At the arcade, I was looking at a giant cute plushie of Cubchoo, and I guess my eyes gave my will away. After failing to grab it like 10 times, I was on my last two coins.

"Need help?" Ash said from behind me, as he leaned over and placed 15 more coins into my palm, and taking another from his pocket and slipped it inside. Then, he took my shaking hand on the joystick and guided it to aim at Cubchoo, before he clicked the grab button. To my shock, the plushie was dropped into the prize tunnel, and he leaned down to open the flip open the door and took out the giant Cubchoo, and handed it to me.

I looked at it with a smile, before I thanked him and hugged it, to which he responded with a smile. "Ash, can you come along with me and help me with getting other prizes?" I asked, knowing that he would probably make a better use of the money than I would, since I sucked at these machines.

"Alright, I have nothing better to do anyway," Ash said, as he gently took my hand and I led him to yet another claw machine, and after 2 tries, he got a cute pikachu beanie for me (this one):

We continued to play around, until it was around dinner time and we got slushies and pizza before leaving and returning back to my place, where the boys wished me happy birthday and helped me clean up before leaving. After changing to the pajamas that Bonnie got for Dawn, herself, and I, we settled down with a face mask and other skincare while laying on the couch and scrolling our phones. We spent the rest of the time chatting away and helping each other with the skincare and doing each other's hair before we fell asleep not too late. 

Today was the best birthday I could have asked for, and I appreciated my friends for everything.
