"How's this?" Nadia, her best friend, comes out the dressing room showing her best friend the pretty dress she was currently trying on. Y/n smiled looking up from her phone, seeing how pretty she looked being head over heels of how gorgeous she could be.
Y/n frowns before smiling. "You look so stunning Nads, like actually you're unreal I can't believe it." She giggled at her best friend's compliment as she walked over to her. The dress fitted her so nicely, as if it was made for her.
"You think Dre will like it?" She asked looking in the full length mirror. She was extremely nervous as today was her first date with Dre who she met randomly a few days ago at a coffee shop and he immediately took a liking to her, hence her finding a prefect dress for tonight.
Y/n didn't mind tagging along in fact she persistence they went to find her a nice dress at the mall today because Nadia's never had a boyfriend and she was so excited for her. "From what you've told me about him, he's going to love it..stop stressing." She reassured to her best friend who nodded with a small smile. "Bitch and you know you're the shit literally look at you." Nadia laughs waving her off before going back into the dressing room to take off her dress so she can pay for it.
She was so happy for her best friend, ecstatic that she was finally getting the chance to meet someone who is interested in her because before hand, it was the shoe on the other foot and the roles were reversed.
Y/n had her own Dre, his name was Chris and they were together for 5 years. They had the perfect love story, met in college and continued to be together after they graduated. Playing to get married and he even proposed to her, wanting to take their relationship seriously.
It however all did come crashing down and ending about a year ago due to him having a baby on her with one of her closest friends. It was embarrassing to say the least when she found out. At the time before, they decided to split up for time apart and planned to fix their problems but instead, he went and got drunk and the next thing she knew it was all over the internet. Chris was pretty well known for his fashion and art work so her and the news was all over social media and it was definitely the worst time of her life.
She broke things off, they argued about it for hours with him begging her to stay, gave him back his ring and told him off them best she could without having to cry and left his home. This was her best friend and lover all in one and feeling this type of hurt and betrayal made her heart heavy for the past couple of months. Until Nadia did whatever she could to get her back to her old self which slowly but surely came back.
Nadia was an amazing best friend, never left her side no matter how many times Y/n told her to worry about herself and not her because Nadia did have a life, and yet she still didn't leave her side.
