Our story begins high above the crater-scarred surface of the Moon, where an emergency mission is under way....
Man on Radio: This is Houston control. Do you have visual on the lunar settlement yet?
Astronaut #1: Roger, Huston.... we have visual. The settlement is positioned on the fringe on the dark side of the moon, and it's just like we thought--the entire compound has been deserted!...Nothing's moving....no people....and from the looks of those half-completed shelters, they left in a hurry!
Man on Radio: All right, Champion II prepare to land.....and keep your eyes peeled for anything unusual. We don't want to loose two lunar settlement teams!
And soon after the lunar module settles on the dusty surface.....
Astronaut #2: Y'know Gus....maybe the first crew wandered over to the dark side of the planet! No one's ever explored it before, so there's no telling what's out there!
Astronaut #1: Well there's something alive that's for sure. My monitors are picking up something from that direction! BUt it's so hard to see what's going on.
Dr. Doom: Then Perhaps you need a closer view!
Astronaut #2: I-I don't believe it! Th-there's g-ghosts on the moon! Houston do you read me?....There's three ghosts living up here Houston do you copy? ANSWER! ANSWER!
Blackheart: Silence, Human! How dare you refer to us as mere ghosts!
Diablo: Yes get down on your knees and beg for forgiveness! and pray for the mercy of.....Dr. Doom Ruler of the Latveria cause!
Dr. Doom: Do not attempt to resist us human. we will only make it more painful for you!
Blackheart: And you won't get help from Houston either! I, Blackheart have cut off all radio transmissions back to earth.
Dr. Doom: You are our prisioners....like the astronauts before you! By the time the next group comes to investigate your Dissaperance, it will be too late! we will have succeeded in our mission. Diablo Take them!
Diablo: Yes Master! To the tower of mind they go!
And over two thousand miles away at the houston mission control center on earth....
Man: We-We've lost contact!
Man #2: What's going on up there?
Man #3: The Crew is gone! It's like they were swallowed up by the moon it'self! No, not the moon. Someone else! look at camera two....Someone's dragging our crew into the darkness!
Man #4: It's too dangerous for us to risk another rescue mission. This is a job for the Fantastic Four and Tyler Phantom. I'm calling them now!
But the Fantastic Four and Tyler Phantom are too busy to answer the call for help all across the globe , mysterious supernatural disasters are threatening the safety of human lives.....
In the Atlantic ocean, a fifty-foot tidal wave moves mightily across the water, pushing towards it's final destination....New York City!.....
In the southwest earthquakes rage across the dusty mesas and windswept gorges of the grand canyon.....
Man #1: The Earth! It's cracking right under our feet! Help! Help!
And, in the Pacific, long dead volcanoes suddenly jolt back to life, spewing rock and molten lava into the skies and onto sleepy villages.....
The Fantastic Four and Tyler Phantom are on their way to stop these disasters. But will they arrive in time?....
