"We have to go find her!" Clyde shouted, his voice filled with anger.
He'd been arguing with his father, for what felt like hours. It had been two days since Poppy was captured by Myles' guards, and every passing moment felt like a betrayal to his friend. Clyde's patience was wearing thin, his anger barely contained.
"Clyde, I told you—we'll find her. But not yet," Wenzo replied, his tone calm but firm.
He could see the rage in Clyde, and he felt the same worry for Poppy. But Wenzo knew Myles well; acting too soon could play right into Myles' hands, putting them all at greater risk. Timing was everything.
Clyde clenched his fists. "You're asking me to do nothing while she's in danger. I can't just sit here."
Wenzo placed a hand on Clyde's shoulder. "Trust me, son. I'm doing this to protect you."
Clyde pulled away from his father's grip, storming off to a room tucked into the back of the bunker.
"Clyde wait-" Wenzo tried to say before Clyde left.
"I'll go talk to him." said Ronaldo.
Ronaldo walked in the direction of Clyde's room before being stopped by Wenzo.
"Let him cool off. Besides, I still need you to assemble military plans." ordered Wenzo.
Clyde went into his room in the bunker, sat on his bed and took out his sketchbook. He flipped through the many drawings (some of Lilly) and found a blank page. He begun drawing, letting the pencil move on its own, his hand holding on as he watches. Halfway through the drawing, he was interrupted by the rest of the group entering the room.
"Well?" Sofia asked.
"No dice." Clyde replied.
"We can't just sit here and wait." said Lilly.
While the rest of the group was talking, Ruffles noticed something; a vent. He began climbing the wall, stopping at the vent. He pulled out his iron sword, his other hand holding on to the wall. He took the sword and pried open the vent.
"Dad has military meetings with the Cold Frogs tomorrow. We free Poppy while he's gone." Ruffles explained.
Clyde looked at Ruffles with admiration before turning to the rest of the group.
"Alright, we've got a plan. We free Poppy tomorrow." stated Clyde.
The rest of the gang left the room, Clyde laying back on his bed, continuing his drawings.
