"Brr, it's freezing out here." Sofia complained.

"We're in the Extreme Hills. Did you expect a tropical paradise?" Poppy sarcastically replied.

Clyde pulled his cape out of his bag.

"Here you go." Clyde said while passing his cape to Sofia.

 "Thanks." Sofia calmly replied.

Lilly heard the rest of the gang talking behind her, and turned around to see Clyde handing his cape to Sofia. She turned around quickly with a light blush on her face.

"C'mon, let's go!" Poppy yelled excitedly.

Poppy sped away, the rest of the gang trying to catch up.

 "Poppy, wait up!" said Clyde.

The four frogs made it up the mountain and saw the Cold Frog Kingdom. However, strangely, the Cold Frogs were not trying to kick them out, nor were they angry about outsiders in their Kingdom. In fact, they were very welcoming.

 "Welcome!" said a Cold Frog.

"Are you in need of shelter?" another Frog asked.

"We don't mean to bother. Can we just stay here for the night?" Sofia hastily responded.

"Follow us." the Cold Frogs said.

The Cold Frogs led them through a tunnel and into a spruce hut built off a mountain. The house had a stone brick base with spruce plank walls with log pillars on the edges.

"You can stay here for the night." one of the Frogs said.

"Thank you. We won't stay for long." Sofia reassured.

The two Cold Frogs left the hut, closing the door behind them.

"That was weird," said Clyde. "Why were they so welcoming?"

"I don't know, but we should keep our guard up." Sofia calmly replied.

"It's getting dark. Let's go to bed and leave in the morning." told Clyde.

As they were talking, the sun finally set, the sky quickly became a dark black, the stars casting a small light on the night sky. Lilly and Poppy went into a room with two beds, while Sofia and Clyde went into separate rooms, each with a red bed in the center.

Shortly after the gang went to bed, Clyde snuck out of the hut. He was unsure if they could trust the Cold Frogs and needed evidence. Clyde hid behind a tree in the village square and saw Ronaldo and Melissa talking to a village elder. He saw a hooded shadow with two triangle shapes eats stop the hood. The shadow turned around in Clyde's direction, Clyde quickly hiding behind the tree. The shadow looked away granting Clyde a chance to run back to the hut.

"Guys! We need to get out of here!" Clyde yelled.

Clyde tried to get the gang out of the village, but it was already too late. The shadow creeped up behind him, grabbing him by the ear.
