After the thieving incident, Obinna calls the police and the cops investigate their home. Kevlyn comforts scared Imani in her arms. "I can't believe someone sabotaged the cameras and snuck inside our house. How did the masked thief know how to sabotage security cameras like this, baba?" said Zane.
"I don't know, son. I don't know," said Obinna, comforting Zane by patting his hand on his shoulder. "Mom, I'm scared," said Jack. "Me, too," said Imani. "It's ok, mo ghrá (my loves)," said Kevlyn. "What are we gonna do, Uncle Obinna?" asked Perry. "We're gonna have to go somewhere safe until things are cleared out," said Obinna.
"I wish my mother were here," said Perry. "Me, too, Perry. We all wish she was here," said Zane. "Yeah," said Kevlyn, agreeing with Zane. "It's been years since she was murdered and no killer was ever found," said Jack. "That's why I'm gonna figure out who killed our aunt and why he or she did it to our aunt," said Zane. "What are you going to do when you're trying to figure out why?" asked Obinna. "Starting the investigation of who killed Aunt Jemena," said Zane. "For real?" asked Jack. "Are you sure, son?" asked Obinna. "Yes, sir, I've been thinking about starting to find the killer and that the killer should turn himself in for what they did to my aunt," said Zane. "I'm coming with you, Zane," said Perry. "Perry, I don't think you should come," said Zane, worried about his cousin Perry coming with him. "Yes, I can. I want to find out who killed my mom, please, let me join you on a quest. DJ will be with us, too," said Perry. "OK, we'll go together," said Zane.
"Zane, I want you two and DJ to be safe and sound when you start a quest to find the killer," said Kevlyn, talking to her son Zane and her nephew Perry. "Déanfaimid, a mháthair (We will, mother). As a promise," said Zane. Perry nodded, agreeing with Zane. Obinna nodded in understanding. Kevlyn and Zane's siblings hugged Zane and Perry, and Obinna hugged them as well.
The Next Day... After hugging their family, Zane, Perry, and their dog DJ got their belongings together in Zane's minivan. Their family was leaving their home to go somewhere safe at another family member's house, while Zane, Perry, and DJ headed out on a quest together to find Jemena's killer.
Zane turned on his minivan before driving away as well, they drove off to the town with their dog in the backseat. They left Alberta around Canada, they entered the town of Vancouver, Canada. Perry is amazed to see the city of Vancouver while inside Zan's minivan vehicle, Zane looks at the town with amazement, too.
As they were driving into Vancouver, they made it to one of the hotels in Vancouver around Canada where they had a safe place to stay. They got out of the minivan, letting DJ out and they went inside the hotel to check in. As they checked in, they found a number 15 in the hotel room upstairs. They entered the hotel room, putting their belongings around the place.
"This hotel room looks relaxing and cozy, there are two beds in one room, and the hotel is pet-friendly for DJ," said Perry. "Yeah, it is," said Zane, agreeing with Perry. "There's dog food next to the dog bowl on the clean floor. Come on, DJ, time to eat," said Perry. Perry tells DJ to come to eat the dog food, Perry opens the dog food, pours it into the dog bowl, and DJ begins to eat his food. Zane opened the big curtains to see the beautiful view, the sun shone into the hotel room, giving daylight. Zane receives a text from his family, telling him that they are staying in Great Uncle Ikenna's household. "And mom and dad are staying in Uncle Ikenna's house today, I got a text from them," said Zane, letting Perry know their family is staying with Ikenna.
After they got into the hotel room, they began to walk out into the city of Vancouver with their dog DJ. "So, where are you going when we're outside walking into the city of Vancouver, Canada," said Perry.
"I'm thinking of going to the library or another studious place to go for the first time or somewhere to solve the case of your mom's murder - my aunt's murder," said Zane. "Are you sure about going somewhere historical around the area?" asked Perry. "Yep, there's gonna be the solution to where we are going in Vancouver," said Zane. Zane and Perry looked at the fortune-telling shop. "I'm thinking the fortune-telling area would tell us what's the case," said Perry. "I believe so, too," said Zane. "Let's go there," said Perry. "Yep," said Zane. They went to the fortune-telling shop around Vancouver, they entered the fortune-teller shop with DJ the dog. As they entered the fortune-teller shop, they looked around the shop with amazement. "Wow! This is so beautiful," said Perry, amazed to see the fortune-teller shop for the first time along with Zane and their dog DJ.
