After Dalilah stops the twins and they apologize to Zane and Perry, they walk back into the city of Vancouver to explore and talk.
"So, your aunt got killed by the suspect who made poisonous wine a few years ago?" said Gretta. "Yep," said Zane. "The killer was nowhere to be found after that, but we're thinking that Mr. Ian Eden is the suspect who killed my mom," said Perry. "Gosh, I'm so sorry for y'all loss," said Gretta. "Yeah, we lost our parents in a crocodile incident. We got sent to foster care at the age of 14 until our uncle adopted us at the age of 17 and now, we're currently 18," said Trevor. "Hey, I'm 18, too," said Perry. "For real?" said Gretta. "Yep, looks like the three of us are the same age," said Perry. "The edge of eighteen," said Trevor, joyfully. "I'm really sorry about your aunt, Zane," said Dalilah. "Yeah," said Bruce. "It's OK, thanks," said Zane.
"So, you're a half-witch and a half-siren," said Perry. "Yes, it's true. I was born in the sea of the Mediterranean around Africa," said Dalilah. "Wait, a siren means you're a sea mermaid-like creature," said Gretta. "Definitely, on the other half, I'm a witch. I did witchcraft and rituals to perform and practice, I made herbal medicine," said Dalilah. "Did you place a curse on someone?" asked Trevor. "Not everyone, but only mean people who try to come at me for no good reason and/or make fun of me because of my looks and ethnicity," said Dalilah. "Dang," said Gretta, Trevor, and Zane. "How can you place a curse on someone? That's just cold. Don't you let karma handle the problem before?" said Bruce. "Mostly, yes. If they keep being mean more than once, I'd place a curse and they will never notice it. Is it a big deal?" said Dalilah. "Just being curious, that's all," said Bruce.
After walking into the city, they returned to the hotel, where the others stayed with them in the hotel room.
"So, what brings you guys here in Vancouver?" asked Gretta as she pets DJ the dog. "Well, I've been thinking about starting the investigation to find out who killed my aunt. Perry joined the quest and our dog DJ joined in, too. So, we drove all the way and then we made it to Vancouver to figure out who's the killer behind the mask," said Zane. "An investigation? Like solving a mystery?" asked Trevor and Gretta. "Yeah," said Zane.
"Gosh, it's 4:35 PM already? How's hungry like I am," said Perry as he looked at the time on his cellphone. "Me, me!" said Gretta. "Me, too!" said Trevor. "Do you guys like Chinese food tonight?" asked Zane. "Yep," said Bruce. The others agreed when Zane asked about Chinese food for all of them in the hotel room.
"Chinese food hits the best part for dinner," said Gretta. "OK, I'm gonna call the Chinese restaurant right now," said Zane. Zane began to call the number of the Chinese restaurant in Vancouver: Jade Dynasty Restaurant.
After he called them, it was evening time and everyone ate their food after the Chinese food was delivered to the Hampton Inn & Suites hotel. "So, Zane, are you sure that you and your cousin are gonna go on an investigation to find the killer who killed your aunt?" said Trevor. "Yeah, as long as we're here in Vancouver right now, this is where we begin the quest," said Zane.
"I'm joining in," said Gretta. "Me, too," said Trevor. "I'm in," said Bruce. "I'm guessing that I'll be on the quest with you, too," said Dalilah.
"And this buddy is such a good dog, what kind of breed of this wonderful dog?" said Trevor as he shared his food with DJ the dog. "He's an Alaskan Malamute, Alaskan Malamutes are loyal," said Zane. "Oh," said Trevor. "He's awesome-looking," said Gretta.
"I'm full, had a wonderful Chinese dinner tonight. Hey, Zane, is it OK if I could take a bath," said Dalilah. "Of course, yeah," said Zane. "Thank you," said Dalilah as she got up from the floor. Dalilah walks into the hotel bathroom to go take a bath, she closes the door behind her when she is in the bathroom, and she turns on the water from the faucet of the bathtub.
Zane feels a little strain in his head, due to the tea he drank earlier in the fortune-telling shop where Dalilah worked. "Are you OK, cousin?" said Perry. "Yeah, just a strain in my head," said Zane as he picked up the cup of cold lemonade and drank it.
In the bathroom, Dalilah is relaxing in the bathtub filled with clean, purified water that is warm and soothing to her. Dalilah closes her eyes and begins to meditate and relax. The amethyst crystal clusters she placed are around her in the bathtub.
As she was relaxing in the bathtub, she started to have a zenful imagination during the bathtub relaxation.
In her imagination...
She is in her beautiful siren form with the mermaid tail and glittery scales on her beautiful, smooth skin. She swims underwater in the ocean, she sees above the sky and it is nighttime upon the full moon. She glows purple in the dark, underwater in the ocean.
Dalilah swims to the surface of the ocean to head to the kingdom where her siren family lives around, she meets them in her imagination and meets the queen who rules the kingdom in the underwater ocean.
"Hello, my child," said the queen of the sea, Queen Darya. "Hello, your majesty," said Dalilah. "I've seen that you've been doing quite well on your witchcraft, I've heard your message from the ocean's waves. I received it so well," said Queen Darya. "There has been some news about the suspect on the loose, the suspect that killed the young man's aunt," said Dalilah. "A suspect?" asked Queen Darya. "Yes, your majesty," said Dalilah. "There are so many mysteries in this world, so many mysteries around the seas," said Queen Darya. "I have to join forces with the man named Zane, on a quest to find the murderer who killed his aunt," said Dalilah. "Very well. I want you to know that there is a prediction about the relationship between you and Zane, I sensed that the friendship will be blossoming during the start of the quest in a few days. I want you to be careful with him, remain on a quest with him and the others, and you'll be making a wonderful group," said Queen Darya. "Yes, your majesty," said Dalilah.
At the end of the imagination...
Dalilah opened her eyes while relaxing in the bathtub, she heard a knock on the door. Dalilah finished relaxing in the tub for the evening, she wrapped her body in the clean towel, and she opened the door to see who was knocking on the door and it was Zane.
"Oh, Zane," said Dalilah. "Hey, are you OK in there? I heard bubbles popping in there," said Zane. "Yeah, I'm fine. It's just that I've been relaxing in the bathtub. So, yeah," said Dalilah. "Oh, ok," said Zane. "Hey... Zane, are you single?" asked Dalilah. "What?" asked Zane. "Are you seeing someone or are you single?" asked Dalilah. "I'm single, never been with anyone," said Zane, answering Dalilah's question. "Oh, OK," said Dalilah. "Why do you ask?" asked Zane, confused. "Just asking, that's all," said Dalilah. "Oh," said Zane.
At midnight... Everyone else in the hotel room falls asleep, and Zane wakes up. He sees the swan feathers in his skin, hallucinating in his wake. "What the?" whispered Zane, beginning to panic quietly. Zane blinks his eyes before rubbing them, he sees his arms are normal in his vision.
He sees everyone still sleeping in the hotel room, but he sees Dalilah disappeared. He looked outside of the window and saw her standing at the pool center of the Hampton Inn & Suites hotel. She stood around the pool, watching the water flowing vibrationally in the pool. Zane grabs out his jacket, he leaves the hotel room to go see her outside at the pool center.
