His name is Tristan Lake.

Those words echoed in my mind. I couldn't think straight.

"Haven't heard of him." Dean commented. "I guess he's not a theatre scholar."

"I heard he's a contrabassist." Chase said.

I stood up, leaned towards Chase, cupped her hands and hastily said, "Can you introduce me to him?"

Chase was pretty surprised and speechless.

"Whoa!" Dean said.

Chase's surprised face slowly turned to a smile. "I get it. I get it." She chuckled. "Drop by the city hall tomorrow at 4PM and let's see what I can do." Chase winked. She, then, shifted her glance to Dean and said. "You will go with her so that she won't be lost."

"I can't. I have play practice." He answered.

"I know where it is. Besides, I can ride a cab."

"Okay," Chase grinned. "Well, it's getting a little late, don't you think?"

"Yeah, I guess we should go home." I added.

Dean stood up. "Yes, it is. See you tomorrow." He didn't look lively. His mood suddenly turned sour.

"Are you okay, Dean?" I asked.

"Yeah, just sleepy." He answered.

"Dean, would you be kind enough to escort Isha home?" Chase asked.

"My house is just a short walk away from here. There's no need to escort me. Dean is also very tired already." I replied.

"You're a girl and it's late." Chase insisted.

"But...." I uttered. I looked at Dean. "Is it okay with you?"

He nodded in reply.

"Good." Chase smiled. "Off you go."

Dean was walking with me. He never said a word the moment we left Chase's house. It was as if he wasn't there with me.

"You're pretty silent." I said.

"Should I say something?" His reply was ice cold. I shut my mouth after that. Honestly, I felt scared. I was very scared of that side of Dean which I never saw before.

I closed my eyes, took a deep breath, faced him with my eyes fixed on the ground and said in a hurry, "My house is very near from here, so I can go by myself already. Thank you. Bye!"

I ran off, leaving him behind. I ran and ran without looking back. I ran until I reached Granna's house.

My mind was flying. I sat down on the bench outside, near the front door. I suddenly felt really, really weak. Suddenly, my tears fell without me knowing why. Maybe, I was scared. Maybe, I was really scared.

Before I went to bed, my phone vibrated. Dean texted me saying:

"Sorry, Isha. I had a headache all of a sudden."

I replied immediately with an "Okay. Good night." After 15 minutes, he replied "Good night."

I went to bed with a bothered heart and mind. What's up with him?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Morning!" A voice from behind greeted. Without even looking, I knew who it was. I was trembling inside.

"Hey." He slid to my side. I couldn't look at him.

"You okay?" He sounded so worried. I nodded. Then, I faced him and grinned like an ugly kid. That was all I got. He laughed at me. He laughed so hard.
