"Hey! Hey! Aren't you gonna eat your food?" Marie asked.
My mind was really preoccupied by various thoughts which I couldn't organize at such moment.
"HEY!" She shouted at the top of her voice.
"Marie..." I grumbled, "I have to stop this madness."
"OH! HEY DEAN!" She suddenly exclaimed. My body immediately became as hard as a rock. Marie laughed so hard.
"I was just kidding!" she was slapping her thighs as she laughed.
"It's not funny!" I pouted.
"It is!" She kept on laughing, "Very!"
I tried to pinch her love handles but she was able to dodge me.
Then, Tristan passed by. He waved at me and I waved back, flashing an awkward smile.
"Oh, there's your crush." She whispered softly.
"Someday, I'm gonna ask him out." I replied.
"You told me you couldn't."
"Oh yes, I could and hell yeah, I will!" I sounded so determined.
"Please don't tell me you're making him as a distraction, a distraction that will try to make you forget your feelings towards Dean? That's very cruel, Isha!" She said, pouting like a child.
I narrowed my eyes in disagreement.
"Hey!" A voice from afar called.
"Speaking of the devil," Marie smiled, "Oh! There's your love!"
I immediately pinched her love handles. "ISHA!" she yelped.
"Hey!" He patted my head, slightly messing my hair.
"Seriously, I'm not a dog." I murmured.
"Hi, Dean!" Marie grinned from ear to ear.
"Hello, Marie." He sat down on our table. "You seem lively today."
"I always am."
"Aaaaand...." He shifted his glance to me, "You seem stressed."
"Wow, thank you very much." I sarcastically replied.
"Say, there's a new movie in the cinema called Wonder Town. I've been waiting for it for a long time. I really want to watch it. I tried asking Chase, but she's busy tomorrow. So, if...."
"How about your male friends?" I cut him off. I had the feeling that he'd invite us and I didn't want to say no. Honestly, I was also a fan of that movie and I wanted to watch it, but I didn't want to go out with him for I was still in the awkward process of sorting out my feelings.
"My male friends?" He looked confused.
"Scott?" I asked.
"Boyfriend duties." He answered.
"Duke?"
"He said he's busy."
"David?"
"Boyfriend duties as well."
"Mark?"
"Who's Mark?" His brow was raised.
"Female friends?" I said.
"Huh?" He chuckled, showing me an expression implying what the heck are you talking about?
"Melanie?"
"She's Scott's girlfriend, remember?"
"Angelique?"
"Who's that" He asked.
