Before going into the chapter,
Guys, not many comments are on the stories and I am still updating everyday. I know I couldn't update for a long time before and I didn't give prior notice, but seeing 0 comments on every chapter demotivates me. So, I have decided to do this. I will put 2 or 3 instances before the next chapter and you guys can choose from it and I can do that or those who want a particular scene can DM through Instagram.

Samaira was in the middle of an important virtual meeting at home when the clatter from the kitchen grew louder. Ritika was bustling around, clearly preparing something special, but the noise was becoming distracting.

Feeling exasperated, Samaira excused herself from the meeting, raised her voice, and called out, "Mumma, could you please keep it down? I'm in a meeting!"

Ritika's face fell, a trace of hurt flashing across her expression. She nodded quietly, but the excitement in her movements dulled. Rohit, who'd overheard Samaira's snap, hurried into the kitchen and wrapped Ritika in a comforting hug. She leaned into him, silently seeking reassurance.

"Calm down, jaan," Rohit murmured softly, rubbing her back. He watched as Ritika took a deep breath, then gently broke away from his arms and retreated to their room, her shoulders heavy with unspoken disappointment. Rohit sighed and sat down in the living room, trying to process what had just happened.

Meanwhile, Samaira wrapped up her meeting, her focus finally shifting back to the house. She called out, "Mumma? Mumma?" as she looked around, expecting her mother to be in the kitchen. Instead, she found her father sitting in the living room.

"Papa, where's Mumma?" she asked, sensing something was off.

Rohit gave her a steady look. "She's in our room," he replied calmly. "And right now, she doesn't want to talk to you."

Samaira's heart sank. She hadn't meant to hurt her mother, and a wave of guilt washed over her as she realized the impact of her words. She took a deep breath, glancing at Rohit, whose expression held both understanding and a hint of disappointment.

With a small nod, Samaira made her way toward her parents' room, knocking softly on the door. "Mumma...can I come in?"

After a moment, Ritika's voice answered, a bit weary. "Come in, Sammy."

Samaira entered slowly, finding Ritika sitting by the window, gazing out quietly. Samaira walked over and gently placed a hand on her mother's shoulder. "I'm really sorry, Mumma. I didn't mean to be so harsh. You were just trying to make something nice, and I... I should've been more considerate."

Ritika gave her a small smile, her expression softening. "I know you didn't mean it, Sammy. But remember, we're all here supporting you, not trying to make things harder." She took Samaira's hand, squeezing it gently. "Sometimes, we just want to make things a little special for you too."
