"Hey, stranger,"
Violet smiles as she hears Jackie's voice, the smile grows when Jackie sits beside her at the fire pit.
"Hi, Jackie,"
"Did you sleep okay last night?"
Violet nods, "Yeah, I did. Thank you again for doing that last night,"
Jackie shrugs, "I'll do it anytime you need, Hart,"
"How are you holding up?" Violet tilts her head, loving how she gets lost in Jackie's giant bug eyes. "You seemed quiet earlier,"
"I'm good. Shauna gave me a good little pep-talk that helped bring my spirits up,"
Violet raises a brow, "A pep-talk from Shipman?"
"I know right," Jackie laughs, "I didn't think it was possible either,"
Violet smiles, "Well, regardless of the surprise factor, I'm glad she was there for you,"
"Yeah, she's the best,"

Violet hates the bitter feeling that twists in her stomach at the statement.
She hates that now that she had began to slowly come to terms with her ever growing feeling for the captain that she felt the jealousy grow with it.
She looks down at her shoes, trying to escape Jackie's burning gaze while also wanting to bask in it at the same time.

"I was looking for you after my talk with Shauna,"
This makes Violet feel brave enough to look back up, "Really? You were?"
Jackie nods, "Yeah, where were you?"
"I was talking to Van," she digs the tip of her shoes into the dirt in front of her.
"And everything went well?"
"Yeah. We were just talking about some stuff,"
"Ah," Jackie nods, twiddling with her golden heart necklace.
"What are you two chatting about?" Shauna asks, sitting beside Jackie.

The two didn't have time to respond since Mari's blood curdling scream grasped everyone's attention. Mari comes sprinting out of the cabin like a mad-man. She screams and jumps around in a circle while frantically smacking her clothing like a chicken with it's head cut off.
"Get it off! Get it off! Get it off!" she yells.

"Woah! What the hell?" Violet asks, Shauna races up to help Mari, all the other girls are racing over to see what was going on.
"What's going on?" Shauna helps Mari, trying to check her clothes for anything that night have crawled up her shirt, Akilah joining.
"I was standing under the trap door and I saw and felt something  crawl up my shirt,"
Violet feels unease creep up her stomach, she crosses her arms over her chest, Shauna and Akilah continue to try and calm Mari down.
"There's nothing there. There's nothing there Mari, you're fine,"

"It must have been a ghost," a very unimpressed Taissa snarks, once Violet does not find funny.
It's clear Mari doesn't either. "Don't say that," she hisses.
"Seriously," Violet mumbles, shifting on her feet.
"Oh my god you guys!" Jackie grins, walking to where Violet and the others stood.
"Guys, I just had a brainstorm," Jackie smiles, making Violet's heart squeeze.
"We should have...a seance,"
Taissa scoffs a laugh, "That's a terrible idea. Also, we're not in middle school,"
"But remember how fun that shit use to be? Besides, maybe if we can laugh about this, it can help?" she shrugs.
"The Occult is no laughing matter," Laura Lee says with a straight face.
Violet scoffs slightly, "That seems like a bit of overkill,"
"And it's not Occult, Laura Lee. It's a game," she pauses, looking around, "Come on Shauna, tell them,"

Shauna looks around anxiously, before nodding.
"Well I mean, it's not like we have anything better to do.  And maybe this dead guy can give us some life advice?"
Van and Taissa laugh, shaking their heads.
"Yeah. Right," Van laughs.
Jackie looks at Violet, "Well, Vi? What do you think?"
"Please, like Violet's going to be into that ghost shit," Van tilts her head.
Violet all of a sudden feels all the eyes on her, Jackie's pleading gaze and Van's unsure ones are the ones make her feel goosebumps along her skin.
"I mean," she begins, going over the useless battle in her mind, "I think that it could be fun,"
Jackie grins, "Great! Then it's settled. Tonight, the attic. We make contact,"
