"Come on, Jisung! Please, you've gotta come with me." Felix whined, tugging on Jisung's arm like an impatient child. "Hyunjin wants me to check out his friend's new dance studio, and you know I can't go anywhere without you."
Jisung laughed, playfully rolling his eyes. "You'll have Hyunjin with you. I don't think it even matters that I go," he paused to eye Felix suspiciously, "since someone will be occupied with his boyfriend."
"It's not my fault you're single!" Felix exclaimed in disbelief, earning a defeated grunt.
Jisung pinched his nose bridge, fighting the urge to kick Felix out of their shared dorm.
"I'm not going, Lix." The boy huffed in annoyance. "That's final."
-
Jisung sighed, already feeling worn out as Felix dragged him down the city street towards a sleek new dance studio. The freckled boy had been buzzing about it for days, and with that puppy eyes he pulled out, Jisung knew nobody could refuse him.
"It'll be so much fun!" Felix chirped, his eyes lighting up as they neared the studio. "Hyunjin says the instructor's amazing. Minho - I believe that's his name, has been dancing for years, and apparently, he's super talented."
Jisung only shrugged, not exactly sold. "Yeah, but I'm not sure I'll even keep up. You know I'm all about rapping, not dancing."
Felix gave him a playful nudge. "Trust me, once you see him, you'll be paying attention."
The other laughed, though he didn't take it too seriously. He could not see himself focusing and enjoying dance when he did not even know the basics.
That was, until he stepped inside the studio.
The room was spacious, with mirrored walls and polished wooden floors, and soft music playing as a few dancers stretched out in preparation. And then Jisung saw him—the instructor, Minho, standing near the front, chatting casually with Hyunjin.
Holy shit.
Felix wasn't lying when he said he would be paying close attention.
Just look at the guy. Minho's stance was relaxed, yet there was an undeniable confidence about him.
The way he was just dressed in a simple black tank top and joggers, but it managed to make Jisung feel an unexpected pull.
"Told you he'd get your attention." Felix leaned over, he must had caught the way Jisung's eyes were locked on the instructor.
It wasn't just that Minho was attractive—there was something about the way he held himself, something Jisung couldn't quite place but wanted to understand.
Before Jisung could think of a snappy comment, the class had just begun.
Everyone started stretching and prepping for the session. Poor Jisung did not know what the fuck to do as he glanced around, slightly nervous with all the people around, but Felix gave him a quick thumbs-up in excitement.
Hyunjin, who was helping Minho as the dance assistant, started demonstrating the opening moves with smooth ease.
While Felix, naturally hyped by the energy in the room, caught on quickly, his movements sharp and precise as he followed his boyfriend's lead attentively.
Jisung even surprised himself by keeping up just as well as Felix, as he usually didn't consider himself much of a dancer. He was just glad he did not make a fool out of himself.
Soon enough, the boy found a rhythm and focused on the beat, enjoying the thrill of moving along with everyone in sync. Occasionally, Felix would give slight shoulder nudges and bump into him, and they'd always laugh together.
