Voices shift, emotions swell,

In drama's grip, where shadows dwell.

Death awaits, the bitter end,

Voices change, yet still, they blend.

Sabotage and misfortune collide,

Where luck runs out, no place to hide.

Two friends lost, a third consumed,

In darkness thick, despair is groomed.

What lies ahead, a haunting quest?

Oh, dear soul, behold the jest.

In the middle of the night, Claire was woken by her younger brother, Mysia, who was actually Xel's biological sibling, not hers.

Even her five voices—Serene, Fury, Insight, Woe, and Rush—were awake as well. For a rare moment, Fury and Rush actually agreed, both annoyed that Claire had been disturbed from her sleep with school starting the next day.

"Mysia?" Claire asked, still groggy, until she noticed her brother holding a lamp, the only source of light in the dark bedroom.

"Klo—I mean, Claire... about the school you're going to," Mysia said, his voice hesitant. Claire perked up, blinking, fully awake at the mention of the school she was set to attend.

"Mysia... what's up?" Claire replied, rubbing her tired eyes and trying to push back the memories of her conversation with Xel. Despite her initial annoyance at being woken up, Claire's curiosity grew with each word her brother uttered.

Insight (On-Alert Voice): "Sit up, Claire. This seems important."

Rush (Interested Voice): "Yeah, pay attention, Claire. This might change everything... maybe..."

Mysia fidgeted with the lamp, a pensive look upon his face. "I... that school, I also studied there," Mysia said, his words making Claire feel even more awake.

Mysia... goes to the same school as me?

Much to her horror, Claire asked, "You... you too?"

Mysia nodded. "Yes... I've been there longer than you, but... I survived. I never told Xel anything because I thought she knew what she was doing when she enrolled me there." He paused, looking down before confessing, "I'm also the reason she was so distressed yesterday. I told her the truth about what the school is really like and how it actually operates."
